@7-9-11bride: Me! My center is a family stone in a setting Fiance chose. It is a ‘Old Mine’ cut, which I love ๐Ÿ™‚ I really need to take some better photos…

I posted the full story on this family ring thread, but I love sharing photos ๐Ÿ™‚

Mine is my great-great aunt’s ring (my grandma inherited it and gave it to Mr.ND), and Mr.ND’s ring is his late grandfather’s band.

                                                                                                                       This isn’t my ring…it’s a ring I had made for my mother using HER mother’s jewelry that had been passed down. I don’t wear yellow gold, so I designed this band for my mother to wear. The side diamonds are from a pair of earrings. I gave it to my mom on her birthday. She wasn’t thrilled by it, but when I see her she’s wearing it!

This is FH great grandmothers ring. I have her wedding band as well, but it’s a plain band and I want something a little more blingy.

The center diamond was from my great aunts original wedding ring (great uncle was a jeweler so the diamond was from his shop).  The ring was passed to my grandma after they both passed away and since I am the only girl in my generation my grandma gave the diamond to my then bf now Fiance (she wants it to always stay in the family) to put in a modern setting for me.  And he did amazing ๐Ÿ™‚ I love my ring!

@SpecialSundae: I forgot to say, it was my grandma’s ring that she gave to my brother to give to my (now) fiance to give to me and I LOVE it (although sometimes I do get ring lust for the rings that I would have chosen if I could have).

The one on the bottom is the one NotFroofy gave me.  She inherited it from her grandmother.  I was lucky enough to find a very similar one for her.

@7-9-11bride:

I’ve done a lot of reading, as i suppose we all have, about little things to keep the wedding very personal.  One suggestions was having pieces of gold from family and friends melted down into the wedding ring.  PERFECT, just what i was after.  I asked my Mum if she had anything i could use.  Unfortunately she thought she didnt until she had that lightbulb moment and remembered that she had her Mother, my grandmothers wedding ring.  It still in fabulous condition.  Ive had it resized and polished and didnt have to have it melted down at all.   So very very special and i cant wait to wear it for all that it has resembled in the past and the memories it will share for the future.
