My hair looks great in a bob, and always has. I’ve grown it out maybe three times in my entire life, and always go back to the same bob after a while. So about two years ago I got really brave and cut my hair into a pixie. I loved it! I thought it was spunky and fun and it was solo easy to style! Part of my reason for cutting it so short was that my hair was irreparably damaged from coloring and bleaching and just in general being really mean to it. So I shaved it off and told my husband that now that it was all down to my natural color, I would grow it out. Now my hair is at my shoulders, in the wonderful phase of flipping awkwardly. I hate it! So my stylist recommended putting some tape in extensions to get me the long look I wanted, and help me get through the awkward phase without it being awkward. I was all for it and couldn’t wait to have mermaid like hair, and now, three weeks later, I can’t wait to remove them. I thought it would be so much fun to have all this hair to play with and style, but honestly, it’s a pain in the ass. It takes forever to style, and it is always in the way. I had them cut to a much more reasonable layered style hoping that it would be more manageable and I would love them, and I still don’t. I miss my bob, and I have seen some really cool colors lately that have me wanting to think about coloring my natural hair! Sure, the extensions make my face look thin, and I can put some big glamorous curls in them, but man they take forever to style! I thought my husband would really like long hair on me, but he agrees that it looks weird. Lol. I hate to take the extensions out after only three weeks, as I’d like to get my money out of them, but as soon as they are grown out and ready to be removed, these suckers are going in the trash, and I’m getting my bob back!! I guess the point I’m getting to (slowly) is that I definitely have a signature hairstyle. Some ladies (my sister included) can rock super long hair with natural sun kissed highlights and waves, and others (like myself) look much better in a short do! Expensive lesson learned I guess, don’t try to fix something that ain’t broke! Do you have a signature hairstyle? Have you ever strayed away from it? Did you go back?

I am also a big fan of my bobbed hair! It was pretty long in high school, and since cutting it short I haven’t really gone back. It did get more into “lob” territory before my last cut, and I actually missed the extra couple of inches after the haircut, so I might let it grow out a bit again after all. I think really learning how to take good care of my hair made a huge difference, and now I actually don’t mind a bit of length. But for the longest time, I’ve definitely had that signature curly bob!

I go back and forth between a bob and long! When my hair is long, I get to the point where I want it short again but it normally takes me awhile to cut it off again.. then once I do cut it off again, about 6 months later I always want my hair long again, but my hair takes FOREVER to grow.
My hair is long right now, and it’s driving me insane. It tangles underneath SO bad when it gets to a certain length, but I don’t want to cut it until after my wedding next May. I will probably go back to a bob after the wedding, and wll probably keep it that way (but that will probably change after 6 months to a year)

I’ve had it so shirt for so long, that having any length at the nape of my neck made me crazy! Lol. I was always saying it felt like I had a mullet!! I love being able to just blow dry with a round brush and having my hair look great, this 40 minute blow dry followed by straightening and curling is just too much! I always gave my sister hell for wearing her incredibly long no hair up, but I get it now. I need my short hair back! I need to feel like me again!

Mine never makes it to a long length before I cut it! Lol That’s why I put the extensions in, I guess better to realize I prefer it short now rather than waiting two more years for my hair to grow out to this length!

I had long layered hair forever that I would basically always style in loose waves, until a few months ago when I cut it all off into a bob because I needed a change, well I’m sick of that already and am back to growing it out to my “signature hair”.

long. Somewhere between straight and curly. Brushed, if I’m lucky.

Yes! I’ve been trying to grow it out/ let it get healthier so have stopped blow drying and straightening it. Air dry and if I want to polish it up I’ll add some waves with a wand curler. So far so good. Just rocking past shoulder length long layered wavy/beach hair, have been getting a few highlights every 3 months for years now.
This is an interesting post!

This is exactly me. I grow it to below the boob and then chop it off and then grow back out.
I cut it above shoulder length a few months ago and am now in the sad postion of having to grow it for another 12 months as I want long hair for my wedding.
I feel chop coming October 2017 lol

I keep my hair my natural color, long, layered, parted to the right side, and in loose curls. I used to experiment a lot with hairstyles when I was younger; short, long, black, platinum, purple, orange, straight, permed. Now the only thing I do differently to it is straighten it occasionally, which I end up hating immediately lol.

My hair is generally either long or really long and straight. Since I got married, I’ve been colouring it. The majority of it is really close to my natural medium brown colour and since last December I’ve had sections of it dyed with either blue or purple. Before the interesting colours, I had regular highlights for a bit, but the interesting colours are more my thing, at least for now.

I get my hair cut maybe once per year, so I get a lob and then cut it again once I can’t stand how long it is. I almost always wear it in a low side ponytail because I have 2 little kids and no time to do anything with it. I just started using a sea salt spray that I think might be my new best friend.

I have naturally curly hair and I have straightened it for as long as I can remember. I just recently started letting it be natural and I get so many compliments on it! On the days I think it’s wold, I just tell myself people pay money for their hair to do this. I feel liberated and I have a lot more time now that I’m not fighting my hair. Yay curls!
