No sunroom in our current home but there is one in the house we just bought! Unfortunately…it has wood panelling and carpeted windowseats so I’m looking for inspiration as well lol.

Are you redecorating or are you looking to add one?

I did in a previous apartment. It was essentially a 3 season room because it was too cold in winter even though it had heating. We put a small sofa and a dining table in there and used it for dinners when we had guests. I lined the windowsills with candles and had a few plants altough they all died each winter. I used to work from home in the sun room often- the table was also a perfect work station. It was a 2 person table that folded out on both sides so it took up little space but had the potential to host Thanksgiving dinner.

We do and we never use it. We’ve got a small patio table for 2 in there, a live tree, and misc. things. It gets hot in the summer in there, even with the AC. We painted it a nice yellow and just recently put maple hardwood in there (to match the rest of the house). Still looking for a rug to match, thinking a sky blue.

In the winter we put the Christmas tree in the sun room. There are glass doors leading into it, so it keeps the dogs out.

I have a feeling it will be used for our child once he/she is born and moving around. Figure behind closed doors is the safest place for toys, especially with our monsters!

I have a sunroom, but I’m in the middle of decorating it. It’s right off our kitchen, and doen’t have a door (just a decorative arch seperating the two). I have a long mid-century modern dresser in there that I’m going to refinish, and a chair that I’m working on reupholstering. Plus a futon (we only have one bedroom, so it’s where our friends sleep when they crash), piled with colorful pillows. I hung a curtain from a rod on the sunroom side of the arch so it can be pulled down for privacy. This room I found on pinterest is my inspiration.

Sorta kinda not really. LOL.  When the house was built, it was the room that was supposed to be the “indoor courtyard” (loose translation on the yard bit).  It’s tiled and just like another room inour house but has higher ceilings and the walls are roughly done.  We keep most of our plants in there and i turned it into a toyroom (needed after 3 kids LOL)

It’s right off the hallway (1st room as you start down the hall to the bedrooms and bathrooms) and has windows on 3 sides, so I can see in from the living room, the kitchen and my daughters room.  It’s turned into a nice extra room to have.

We do, but it needs a lot of work. It was just a side porch with brick columns, until some previous owner put windows in between them… but they put single pane windows that you can’t open! So dumb, because it get wayyy to hot out there most of the time, and of course, way too cold in the winter!

We are planning to get different windows eventually, and fix the heating/cooling issues. After that, it will be a more usable craft/art room. (I am going to be an art teacher)

I wish!! I’m still living in apartment land and I live partially underground.  I love sunrooms though and it would be great to have one in the future!
