Sort of. Physically I don’t really have a preference on hair color or any of that. I like a man’s man. Dresses well, but not a metrosexual. Would prefer steak and potatoes over a french restaurant. Athletic. I don’t really like skinny guys that would be able to fit into my clothes. I just don’t personally find that attractive. No hipsters. I’d go for Joe Manganiello over Adam Levine any day.

Personality wise the guy has to be funny, outgoing and intelligent. People that are overly serious bore me to tears. My stepsis dated a guy that was just so dry I wanted to jump off the nearest bridge everytime we went on double dates. Every single conversation with him had to be about some uber intellectual subject. I couldn’t stand it. Oh and he was also so skinny he could have fit into my size 2 pants 😛

@linnylou_88:  Haha does vin diesel count as a type JK but all jokes aside my type was always closer to my height (short) hispanic men.  Then I my fiance and fell in love – tall, white, and skinny and I ditched the type out the window – except for my celeb crush of course lol.

Older, athletic/fit, with a sweet smile, broad shoulders, a great ass, a sense of humor, and tons of confidence.

Yes. Tall, dark and handsome. I know that’s stereotypical, and I’ve dated guys outside of that, but I was never really attracted to them. Fiance is 6′, has gorgeous hazel eyes and dark brown hair/facial hair. Mmm he is so yummy. And his smile is amazing.

And they have to be intelligent, driven, motivated, and have goals in life. And make me laugh.

I dated a guy once that was 33, renting a room from his friend’s dad (the dad also lived in that house. He also lived with the guys who were the dad’s sons), dropped out of college, smoked cigars, was skinnier than me (ew), played poker every night, had no ambition and no desire to do ANYTHING with his life. He was also a really loud, immature individual. I thought I’d give it a try and break out of my “type” but…Needless to say, I was over that REAL quick.

I want to be able to laugh through rough times, or even through good times, and I want someone with similar goals as mine and also goals for themselves that I can watch them achieve. And I want to work toward mutual goals. And I want someone to support me through my own. So yeah. I guess that’s my type.

🙂 I got lucky with Fiance, he fits the bill pretty dang well.

Yep. Tall manly looking athletic guys, preferably not too emotional. I like broad shoulders and muscles (but not body builder types, more normal), and bonus points if he can grow a good beard. Like Christopher Hemsworth who plays Thor. That is exactly my type.

I’m petite, but a tom boy take-charge type who lifts weights and does jiu jitsu. I like my guy to be more masculine than I am.

He also has to be funny and easygoing, but also hard working and conscientious. Gee, I don’t want much, do I?

(This guy exists though, and he wants to marry me! *grin*)

…I’m going to say….men.

Honestly, they were all so different, I can’t think of a single similarity between any of them other than gender.

I like manly men who have an incredible sense of humor, thick but not chubby, dark hair and blue or green eyes. Darling Husband has blond hair and brown eyes but I still think he’s very handsome.

Almost every guy I’ve been with has had thick eyebrows and dark hair.

@linnylou_88:  Physically: Tall dark and handsome. Hah hah.
Really though, tall, lanky/skinny and muscian (artistic?).

I have a very strong personality, so I need someone I can’t bull doze. But still is easy going. It can be a hard balance.

@adoc86:  +1. Exactly. He doesn’t have to look a certain way but he needs to weigh more than me, spend less time getting ready, and be a traditional “man’s man.” I also am attracted to men who put family first and have a strong work ethic.

Honestly, my “type” is whoever I happen to be in love with. My current type is Asian, built, shaved head. Pretty safe to say it’s here to stay Wink

I do tend to generally favor these characteristics though:

Personality: Extroverted, good conversationalist, intelligent, driven, resourceful.

Appearance: Strong masculine jawline, nice smile, full lips, dark (or at least not blonde/redhead).
