I have hundereds of scars all over me from burns, falling over, bashing myself on things, pet scratched. I like to think of me as being a large dot-to-dot.

My two stupidest ones are a massive triangle of flesh out of my shin from where I tried, and failed, to stand on a wall and my other is a line across my nose from where a boat hit me.

I can’t even blame any of them on something like surgery – basically I am just a clumsy oaf!

When I was 9, my school had a field day. I went down a water slide, but there was a piece of glass under it that no one noticed, and I split my right ankle in half. Required 44 stitches to repair, and I have nerve damage from that. And a tiny little scar on my left cheek from surgery. It’s not really noticable, except in high resolution pictures for some reason.

Well, I have a few scars. The most interesting one, is probably the one I have on the right side, like right on my love handle. It looks like chewed up bubble gum and it is hard to miss.  I commonly get people that stare at it and I just go, “Look, it makes me feel horrible when you stare, just ask me how it happened….”

I was on an ATV out in the desert when I did something really dumb. All I remember was flying high into the air and then landing hard in brush and rocks. I had the wind knocked out of me and could not move. I remember being carried back to the camp where I finally came to. I felt something was off and looked at my side which was bleeding like crazy. I had cut it up pretty good. I went to the ER to get it cleaned out and scrubbed. I tell you…that hurt worst then the actual fall.

I have random ones here and there from falling or running passed something a little too close… Yes. I’ve run too close to a doorknob before and also a license plate.

But my best one was from when I was 13 (26 years old now). My brother was just annoying the piss out of me; wouldn’t stop being an annoying older (20) brother. I tried to leave but he kept it up so I turned around and hit him with the glass I was holding, which broke. I continued to yell at him until he got this terrified look and said “LOOK AT YOUR HAND!!” I looked down and yep… cut middle finger open. 8 stitches later, I have a nice scar with most of the little stitch scars still. I had the biggest wrapping on my middle finger so when I was in my most hated class I’d flip off the teacher constantly. He couldn’t tell… muahaha.

Two I can think of, one is from surgery on the outside of my right ankle due to a broken ankle in 2 places from this past summer

The 2nd one is from combo scar from 2 different events. The first scar is a half moon shape on my left hand by my thumb where a broken glass went into my hand. The 2nd scar right by it is from Jr High where a kid took his pencil and stabbed me with it.

To explain makes it sound so much less interesting than it really is haha. I like to keep the mystery Wink.

Really though, on my summer holidays I just used to spend weeks on sailing courses, it was a good way for my parents to keep us out of their way. One day there was absolutly no wind so me and some other teens took a couple of lasers out and just paddeled them into the lake to jump off etc. Well I jumped off one side and (a rather large) guy jumped off the other which pushed the boat above me. On these boats the sides are curved over so you supposedly don’t get cut by the edges. Well I failed at that – as I came up the boat sliced me across my nose.

The best part was that everyone just thought I had a bleeding nose and couldn’t work out why I was screaming my head off. It wasn’t until I was taken to shore that the realised my nose was literally hanging off haha. They drove me to hospital and several stitches and one stupid wad of padding later I was ok. I think the poor instructor was terrified he would get into trouble, literally my mum just said “meh, she does these things to herself all the time”.

All I can say is thank godness it was the summer holidays – I could not have faced going to school with that on my face!

I have a crazy giant scar on my right elbow, which is from the intricate surgery I had to have after shattering my elbow from FALLING OFF THE PLATFORM when I was trying on dresses.  Of all the ways to break a bone!

I was supposed to be on the opposite side of the altar so my scar wouldn’t be front and center, but that did not happen:

@StuporDuck:  I know!  I want to hear about this boat too!

@NurseMandie:  I have a scar on both corners of my lip, once from being kneed by my cousin while playing, one from a dog bite I deserved (tell your kids not to play baby doll with the dog, ok?)

I also havea  huge scar on my leg from a surgery to move my bone around.

I have a huge scar the length of my right thigh- it happened when I was really little, so it is very faded now, but still there.  I was playing with my best friends (who were always boys) and I must have been age between 2 and 4… and we were playing in an old rusty truck in the back of their property and I stepped right through the bottom of the floorboard.  🙂
