Perhaps some of you have seen my previous posts about myself not being too keen on the e-ring i myself choose:
size 6 finger, what size carat diamond? feeling mixed up about my e-ring.
I just think my e-ring is lovely but some days too traditional and classic to me. I did choose it exactly cos of that, cos it’s timeless. But some days I feel like wearing something more contemporary (have some ideas of a princess/asscher/emerald, perhaps even a moissy). I am an architect this design is everything!!!
I don’t want to get rid of it, thus thinking of getting a second one and swaping depending on my mood, or wear on my right hand.
Anyone else feel the same? Anyone else have 2 rings they consider their e-rings and thus love BOTH equally?

I cant imagine having 2 e-rings. I am attached to my e-ring that he picked out and proposed to me with. Also, given the cost of the one, I cant imagine buying 2. And even if I could, rather than I have 2, I would still rather have one much nicer one, than 2 ok ones.

I do have two. The top is my “real” ring, and the bottom is my science museum souvenir stand-in that Fiance got me so I would start planning. Not that I’ve really done any planning… The bottom one, being a $1 ring, I don’t wear often because I don’t want it to fall apart.

Only 1 e-ring, but 2 wedding bands. One is my fancy that goes with the e-ring. The other is a plain tungsten band for hiking, camping and other outdoorsy stuff. My setting is quite high and I feel uncomfortable doing a lot of activity with it.

One heirloom e-ring that ended up just being perfect for me anyways.

I don’t have two but I’m not opposed to the idea. I wrote a thread a week or so ago about my nana never had an ering or weddingband – she just chose a ring she liked that day and wore it. I never even realized it until she passed so it obviously wasn’t very important. It is not completely “out there” to want to have a choice so as long as your Fiance is good with it, I say “Why not?”

I would love to see “I only have one e-ring but I’m thinking about getting another.” added to the poll.
I have recently been thinking about changing my e-ring, but I probably won’t ask for it at least until our next anniverasry. I’d love to see how common it is for people to plan on having more than one!
Also, my sister does this. she does not like her e-ring & band and I don’t blame her. they’re pretty bad. she’s had them since the 90’s, but they can’t afford new diamond rings right now. she has absolutely no qualms about wearing costume rings instead. she has many of them and switches them up depending on her mood. nobody judges her at all about it.

@janie-janie: great edit! I’ve added it. Very curious to see the response too!

I can’t vote… I have 3… from my husband… 1st one.. he proposed to me with… HE decided he didn’t like it and without telling me bought me a 2nd one.. then 7 years later.. I get pregnant.. I gained so much weight I had to take it off… after losing all the weight .. my fingers never got as small.. I went to go get it resized bigger.. and agein HE.. decided he wanted to get me another one ..instead of getting that one resized.. and surprised me with another one.. I only fit in the one I wear though..so I cant change them around.. unless my fingers lose another size someday

….if my ex-FI hadn’t broken into my apartment and stolen my old e-ring I would have two.*Grumble*
If you aren’t happy with what you have I am certainly not opposed to upgrading. While I won’t have to e-rings I would love to have more diamond rings. I can pretend can’t I?

I have one and I plan to have it the rest of my life. Darling Husband and my mother disagree, they tell me that at some point later in life I will change my mind again.
What I thought I wanted: 1 carat princess cut solitaire, white gold
What Darling Husband proposed with: 3 equal sized round stones, with side stones, yellow gold
My upgrade: Pear shaped in bezel halo with side stones, white gold worn with eternity band.
Current wants: plain band to stack with eternity band for days e-ring feels too much
If I had a redo: Keep original ring put away and go with a Kirk Kara Angelique band
I don’t think I would want a second e-ring, I would not wear them equally, and I’m sure I would favor one over the other. I am lazy with jewelry, except for getting dressed up, I wear the same things all the time or for a long time.

I voted that I’m thinking about getting one – but that “thinking” is more like “decided”, we just can’t afford the new ring yet. I posted about my reasons here:
When I get the new one, I’ll definitely wear it on my left and probably wear the other on my right when the mood/situation suits.

I have at least two, maybe three depending on how you count. My very original ering was a reset of the marquis ruby that was in the promise ring my hunny gave me about a year before the actual proposal. Awesome stone! Then some (*&)*^# stole it out of our hotel room. I’m still angry because that’s the only one HE picked out. Its still out there in the universe somewhere so I still count it, I guess. I wish I could hire the Finder (that new TV show) to find it for me!
Over time we replaced it, and also got an upgraded band to go with the new ring, but I did the picking and choosing (and credit card swiping). Now that one is currently unreachable (another story) so I’ve recently ordered a moissy tiffany repro from BTD. It will definitely LOOK like an ering. When I get my other ring back, I’ll wear both it and the moissy solitaire according to my whim!!
For me, once the first one was stolen, the true sentimentality was gone for me. One day, it would be awesome if he picked something else for me by himself. If he does that, I imagine that ring would take precedence.

I have one ering and two wedding bands that I really love and I wear daily. But…lately I have been thinking that I’d like a really big and blingy anniversary band.
I’d wear it alone instead of the set I wear now. On the days when I feel like just a band I’d wear the anniversary band. On the other days, I’d wear the set. I think I’m going to suggest that it would make a terrific first anniversary present.
