Okay silly question but do you have Netflix? Do you love it?
Does it really have a great selection or is it hit or miss? Do they have entire series or just some seasons like On Demand does?
I am thinking about trying the free trial and signing up for real.
So tell me is it worth it?
Thanks in advance!

The number of shows on there is growing, they have past seasons for a lot of shows but the most recent season won’t be online until about the time when a DVD boxset would be available. I use it alot for watching old shows that I never saw before. When I drop cable this summer, I’m going to get a Hulu Plus subscription to get the newer stuff and then Netflix for older stuff.

Yes, Darling Husband and I have Netflix and we love it.
We have an internet compatible TV so we can instant stream all of the Netflix things directly onto our TV. If we didn’t have that — or some kind of gadget that allows us to do that — we probably wouldn’t be into Netflix so much.
We watched all of the “Breaking Bad” episodes and now we’re into “Mad Men.”
It is a really great deal… only $17 per month which includes unlimited instant viewing plus up to one DVD out at a time.
Our TV is also compatible with Amazon instant videos. We use that less because the instant viewing library isn’t nearly as extensive as Netflix’s.

I think it’s worth it if you can stream the shows directly onto your TV. If not, then you have to use a computer and that can get tricky. We have the streaming only package and we like it. It is good only if you like old shows. As PP have said, it doesn’t have the newer shows. We don’t have cable, and we have netflix and a huluplus subscription, and that works well for us. Netflix has a lot of options for shows, so that’s good. Hope you like it!

We have netflix and are on it all the time. They have a very nice selection on tv series (most series have full seasons). The watch on tv movie selection is hit or miss. We are just doing the instant viewing subscription for about $10 a month and I think it is worth it. I watch it more than I do the cable that we spend way more on a month.

@MissCT: We have a Wii, XBox 360 and a PC hooked up to our tv, which would be the best for streaming?

I have netflix, not so much a fan of it. I can never find anything to watch!

We love it. We have the streaming only option, and we don’t have cable at home. We use Netflix and Hulu to watch on our iMac or iPad. We have found plenty of shows to watch, and sometimes we watch movies. Some of our faves that are available on Netflix are Mad Men, the Walking Dead, Friday Night Lights, Ghost Adventures, Jericho, Sons of Anarchy, and Breaking Bad. You should definitely do the free trial to see if you like it, you’ve got nothing to lose!

We have Netflix streaming (and Hulu Plus). It gets a lot of use, especially for TV shows! Hulu Plus is really great if you’re like me and only have time on the weekends to watch shows.
We stream our from the Xbox360, but keep in mind you must have a Gold account to do that.

- Wedding: March 2012 - Father's Vineyard Church/ A Touch of Class Banquet Center
We also have both Hulu Plus and Netflix. We love being able to stream old and new stuff on our wii, and it’s so much cheaper than cable!! It’s allowed me to watch shows that I never did before like “How I met your Mother”. I refuse to watch a show unless it’s from the beginning and unfortunately I missed out when it first came out so I’ve been waiting forever to watch it and finally netflix loaded all of the seasons on so I can!! I think it’s a great investment!

- Wedding: September 2012 - Mother of the Bride's residence
We have it and we love it! We usually stream it on the Xbox or occasionally the Wii, and Mr. Dragon watches on his iPod sometimes.
We know we’re way behind on TV compared to people with cable but that doesn’t really matter to us. They’ve been adding a lot more shows recently, it seems, and we’ve dug into some older stuff. Every time we have people over we just watch older movies, and if we really want to watch something new we’ll buy it from iTunes or on the Xbox.

@JessesGirl: As long as they all have the ability for streaming, I don’t think there is a difference between any of them.

So is HuluPlus better than Netflix?

We use netflix everyday! Movies and shows our are thing, so it pays more than its cost to us!
Netflix has had some sketchy PR moves and messed up alot but luckily I still get my streaming and 2 dvds out at a time for a good price.

We dumped Netflix when they started charging separately for the DVD-by-mail service and the streaming video service (rat bastards!)
In my opinion, the streaming service was hit or miss – one of the reasons we ended our service when they started charging a separate subscription fee for each service, because we couldn’t justify paying that fee every month when we might not even find things we actually wanted to watch. I will say the streaming service is pretty good for past seasons of TV shows, though. And they do have some good movies, just not a huge selection.
