He’s an adult and I’m not his mother.

If he’s *base level* of hygiene wasn’t acceptable, I wouldn’t be with him.

i have to remind Darling Husband to shower all the time. Same with brushing his teeth, etc. the days just get away from him and before he knows it, it has been days since he showered. Not on my watch! So, I just make sure to remind him BEFORE he has the chance to forget. I have lived with him long enough to know 😀

I  wouldn’t be with a man who needed “reminding” about hygiene.

He showers on weekdays and shaves every few days.  That doesn’t bother me – he has a sensitive baby face.  🙂

On the weekends, though… he refuses to shower.  So gross.  He says “I’m going to work on this or that and get dirty, and then I’ll shower.”

I don’t have to give him any. He showers way more than I do! He usually takes two showers a day. Doesn’t let his hair or facial hair get out of hand.

Occasionally I’ll ask my husband to shave, but that’s mostly because I prefer his facial hare different than he does– not really because he “needs” to.

He showers more often than I do. So, no.

He showers at least once a day and usually twice. Honestly, I’m the dirty one!

Darling Husband is always fresh to death.  Love it.

My ex, on the other hand?  Oh man.  I had to BEG him to shower.  I told him on more than one occassion that I would hands down not sleep with him unless he showered.  Because he only showered ONCE PER WEEK otherwise.  *gag*  No one wants week-old dick.

@Marry Jane:  I am not grossed out easily but my boo is very clean & tidy. He is from London and was raised in a culture with a higher set of standards of fashion/hygene and I love it! He can work up a sweat in the gym & be dirty and everything from sports but always cleans up nicely!

I would not be with a man who needs to be reminded to keep up with his personal hygiene.

showers every day (except maybe if he’s incredibly late or something) but i never have to tell him to clean himself.

he has a beard, but he keeps it very well maintained. he probably takes more care over his appearance than most men I know!

    he’s Italian – I wouldn’t expect anything less!

@almostmrsj:  I definitely get the whole ‘let me do these dirty jobs’ before I have a shower, because i hate getting dirty again once i clean and I clean up best in my PJs!

@bestbuddies:  i honestly don’t know how my fiancé goes all day without brushing his teeth either sometimes. I’m glad I’m not the only one 🙂
