(Closed) Do you have to have a MOH?

I think you don’t have to have a Maid/Matron of Honor, but there are certain tasks, and “managing” the other bridesmaids that are traditionally done by the Maid/Matron of Honor.  I think you risk more drama if the bride doesn’t specifically name someone as their Maid/Matron of Honor, but had the same person consistently doing all these things.  It’s kind of like if you work somewhere and all your coworkers have the same job description, but one person seems to be the boss for some reason.  It’s confusing and can make for some hard feelings like “who died and made her MOH??”.  It’s sometimes easier when roles are clear.

I had two Maid/Matron of Honor I have been friends with both of them since elementry and couldnt choose between them. I may not have been as close to them now as I was growing up but I couldnt picture them not by myside. Choosing my two oldest friens made it alot easier.
