I’m sure there are lots of threads about this so I apologize for asking again but what have you ladies chosen to wear to your bachelorette parties? Is it common to wear something white or does that “rule” not really apply anymore? Mine is this weekend and unfortunately i’ve been to busy with work to go shopping so now its crunch time and I am feeling clueless and overwhelmed. Feel free to share any pictures to provide inspiration 🙂

You can wear anything you want! I’ve gone to a few Vegas bach parties, and we all wore black dresses while the bride wore white. It was fun, but I don’t think its a “rule”. Just wear what you look best in! 🙂

I wore jeans, wedge heels and a green shirt to mine! But we just saw a Cirque show. Do what you want.

I don’t think so, wear whatever you’d like!

I’d say wear whatever you want. I’m wearing black for mine.

you don’t have to wear anything specific for any of these things (including the wedding). wear whatever you want. we wore tacky bridesmaids dresses from goodwill.

You don’t even have to wear white to your wedding. I just wore nice going-out clothes. I don’t wear white and it’s not really practical for me to own so I’m not shelling out for otherwise useless white outfits for bach, shower and rehearsal dinner.

I had this struggle, too! I wanted to/ felt pressured to wear white – but couldnt find anything that I loved in white or felt good in. I ended up ordering a cute sequin skirt and wearing a top I already have. this is the type skirt I bought.

I wore a blue dress. The sash and crazy bling my friends forced me to wear made it pretty clear who the bride was lol.

I wore a gold sequined dress, everyone else work black. You can wear whatever you want!

Thank you so much for all the great feedback! I am a modern bride and not sold on the wear white idea (I did not wear white to my shower either). But I guess I do still want to feel somewhat special. I know I am not getting any of the crazy decorations to wear as I already asked my friends not to do that so unless I somehow look different than the rest of the group I wont really stand out as the bride. My go to is always black but I live in New York and can guarantee that all my other friends will be wearing black as well 🙂

I really wanted to wear white but it’s just not my thing.. I wore a black skirt with a black and white striped and floral tank, so I fit in some white, but certainly did not go all out in it.. Wear what makes you happy, it’s your night!

No way. I’ve seen lots of brides in hot pink, or other ‘stand out’ colours too.

I wore a gold sequin dress. It was awesome.
