EllyAnne :  We hardly ever hold hands. I don’t care if other people do, we just don’t because most of the time it gets in the way of walking comfortably, our hands just get sweaty and not to mention, I’m a big klutz so I like having both hands available to catch myself if I fall! Don’t want to bring him down with me haha

How old is your co-worker?  Like 12?  That was very immature of her to say that.  We’re in our 40s and we hold hands in public and at home when we cuddle.  I guess when she gets older she will no longer be affectionate with her partner.  I’m glad she is not my girlfriend if I was a guy!

EllyAnne :  wow. I find that sad – that she should be critical of something so enjoyable.

Yes, we hold hands pretty much everywhere we go. Even while driving. I love it, it is just one of those little things that has me feel close to him and adored. ❤️

We’re in our late fifties and have been married (almost) 32 years. We hold hands at every opportunity. Physical affection is so much fun and so important to us that we’re never going to stop.

I’m in my 20s and my fiance and I hold hands all the time.  My parents who are in later 50s still hold hands in public!

We hold hands legit all the time.  Sitting on the couch, walking down the street, standing in line for coffee.  We just…do?  I never really considered whether or not it was a weird thing.  We’re in our 30’s.

We hold hands all the time. I don’t understand how an innocent display of affection is so bothersome to some people. I also hold hands with my daughter and nieces/nephews and link arms with friends and family sometimes – it’s one of those gestures that can be romantic or platonic and 100% appropriate to do in public.

We’re definitely hand-holders. We’re 31 and 39. I find it strange that someone would be so put off by something so common and unintrusive.

EllyAnne :  We LOVE to hold hands! We hold hands in public, and in bed when we cuddle and when we sleep. We hold hands in the car. Anywhere. We hug randomly, A LOT. At home and in public.

We dont go smooching in public though; we normally do a peck or two on the lips, but nothing excessive.

I am 24, he is 30. We plan on continuing that for a very long time. I dont see it a problem, as we are a couple.

We don’t hold hands, I would but Darling Husband doesn’t like to, I usually hold his arm instead. I would think it was cute though to see other couples doing so!

My mom is in her 90s and (gasp) I hold her hand in public all the time.

That’s so bizarre they would think that’s weird. I’m in my late 20’s and we always hold hands. Sometimes, my fiancé doesn’t want to in public, but typically while we walk around out and about we do!

i hold hands in public with my husband all the time, i’m later 30’s, he’s early 40’s.

when i was in highschool, i went to an amusement park with a friend and his parents.  when we went our separate ways, i turned and saw his parents walking away holding hands and thought it was the cutest thing in the world.

we never plan to stop holding hands.

Darling Husband and I commonly hold hands in public and in private or sometimes I’ll link my arm through his – both of us are in our early 30s. Considering I’ve had a few aingle friends comment that we’re easy to be around as a couple because we’re not into PDA, OP’s coworkers calling hand-holding would be ridiculous in my circle.

I think it’s cute when couples of all ages hold hands, unless they’re blocking other people on sidewalks/public spots. Then it irritates me that they cannot let go for 5 seconds just to stop inconveniencing everyone else. I only tend to see young couples do that though.
