I don’t usually have any emotional symtoms. Just pain/tiredness. Once in a great while I’ll be more weepy or cry easier but usually it’s just the same as always.

Yes. My emotional symptoms pop up first about a day before the physical symptoms. And then I get really bad cramps about a couple hours before it starts

Thankfully all symptoms usually are gone by day two.

Hmm I didn’t know what to vote since I do get symptoms but not too much. I mainly get really bloated & emotional. I rarely get cramps & as long as I have chocolate my temper is in check.

I don’t get any emotional symptoms (at least I don’t think), but the cramps are terrible. TERRIBLE. I also get mild breakouts on my chin, like clockwork.

I have PMDD, which is like PMS’s evil twin. I’m borderline suicidal most months. Then I get my period and all is fine

@allyfally:  I don’t always get the emotional symptoms, but sometimes I totally do get super ragey or burst into tears over something insignificant! My husband is used to it now and will make me hot chocolate and tuck me in on the couch with blankets. 🙂

When I’m not overly emotional, I instead experience painful cramps, back aches and lots of nausea! Occasionally it’s bad enough that I cannot continue with my day. Once I ended up in the hospital, just for severe enough symptoms. (Frequent vomiting, upset bowels, crippling pain. My mother was with me all day and she was worried.) Luckily that happens verrrry rarely.

Don’t worry! It will be next week soon. Hugs!

I have physical symptoms, cramps and I’m usually extra tired, but since going off birth control I don’t have the emotianal symptoms. I am sometimes a little grumpy but that’s because I’m tired and in pain, I don’t have uncontrollable anger and sadness  like I did when on birth control.

I get something called “the rage” about 2 weeks prior to my period. I absolutely snap for like 2 seconds and get over it. every. month. So weird.

No physical symptoms. Never had cramps. Maybe back pain day one of period sometimes.

I totally do… All I want is chocolate and grease! I’m tired all the time and I have a really upset stomach for most of it!

I didn’t vote because sometimes I get them, but often they aren’t too bad.  Some times Im not emotional at all but I might have some physical symptoms, and other times it won’t be too physical but my emotions are kinda messy, and then sometimes its none and sometimes its both!

Right before, I definitely notice increased irritability and on occasion, a downright foul mood.

And for about a week before, I am always so hungry, like I can’t shovel enough food into my mouth.

@polyblonde:  Yep, AF is due any day now and what do you know, I have a nasty pimple on my chin. Why why why!!

@Laurenplusalex:  Oh that sounds awful 🙁 And men in general just don’t seem to understand that hormones can actually do this kind of crazy stuff!

@kestane:  seriously!! I have honestly grown out of ALL my acne issues yet that one prevails. And why the chin!? bizarre. I guess there are worse places but that area is so much more resistant to concealer.

I have found that using skin oils (argan, etc) helps keep them in check a bit…only product that has ever worked on hormonal pimples. ugh!
