I love my job! My co-workers are great, buuuut I dont get paid enough. I am a surgical technician in open heart so the cases can be incredibly draining and long…dear god they can be long. But in the end I love it!

I like my job and love working in my field but I’m not happy at my current employer and have been actively looking for a similar position elsewhere.

I’ve been here for almost 4 years and there have been a lot of changes recently, some for the better and some for the worse.

@SaugaBride:  My role, the company, the comp package, my field, and the actual work I do – LOVE!

The late nights that sometimes keep me away from my family? HATE. It’s a trade off. You will never love every aspect of your job and the money is worth it for us right now.

I do! I got lucky  after searching for awhile. I love my job, love my company, and LoVE my coworkers. It’s a casual atmosphere in which we’ve been known to rock PJ’s once in a while, I can work from home when I want, everyone (including CEO) is under 35, and we have beer thirty every day. We have quite a few large clients, so it’s fun to work on those, and the “wine and dine” of clients isn’t so bad either 😉 we’re known as a really fun, young group, so clients always look forward to coming to see us!

@SaugaBride:  I love my job, and after a year and a little bit, I feel like I’m being fairly compensated for what I do.  (Give me another year and I’m sure I’ll say it’s not enough).

I’m a recent graduate of Landscape Architecture.  I got lucky and got a job with a development consulting first starting the day after graduation.  I do site plannning and landscape planning.  One of our biggest clients is the local Catholic School Board (one of the wealthiest boards in the country).  Every time they build a new school (about 2 a year it seems right now) we do the site plan, landscape plan, grading/drainage plan as well as manage the approvals process.  I know it probably sounds boring, but I love it.  I get to design some really cool stuff 🙂

My job is decent – I work at a multiple-lawyer law firm that practices plaintiff personal injury law.  I’ve been there nearly four years and while I’ve hit a few snags in the last few months (the lawyer I was working for left the firm, I got transferred to another lawyer’s team and promoted way higher than I could handle and nearly got fired, got transferred to yet another lawyer’s team and downgraded a bit, which I’m more than okay with) but I’m finally settling in with something I could stick with for a while.

Do I wish I was paid more?  Sure.  Who doesn’t?  However, it’s the most I’ve made in any job I’ve ever had, and it’s the best job I’ve ever had so I can’t complain much.

It’s ok… I would rather not work obviously and just get paid for doing nothing haha. But they pay me very well and I work with mostly really good people so that helps. I just don’t like waking up early and being gone all day, but that’s any job pretty much.

    I’m a homemaker until the baby is born, then I’ll be a Stay-At-Home Mom…

But before that, I was a teacher in an infant room! Which was an amazing job, and I LOVED it!

But not the money. The money was sad.

@BrandNewBride:  +1, my background is in early childhood education and the pay is terrible (very rewarding job otherwise though).  However, for me nothing beats being a Stay-At-Home Wife.

I honestly LOVE my job. The people are amazing, the work is interesting, but the pay is not great and it’s currently a temporary position. I wish I could work there forever but I can’t. Im a natural resources planner.

I’m a teacher! The money should be waaay better. But the job is AWESOME. Well, the kids are. Admin stuff and Politics always always seems to creep in, though.
