@Bee-In-Hiding:  I do not. However, it has accidentally happened and it was weird. Like “Oooooooook, I’ll be leaving now.”

    Gross! Seriously, very gross.

That is the only thought that comes to mind lol. I guess I’m just not evolved enough. I just had a mental picture of my grandma, who gives extra slobbery kisses in my ear kissing me on the mouth, thanks for that!

We don’t do this and no one I have ever known has done this. My son gives me hugs all the time (hello and goodbyes) but I only kiss my husband.

This thread reminds me of that Modern Family episode when Greg Caneire (sp?) guest starred.

I am 28 and I still kiss my parents on the mouth. This was just how I was raised, to be very affectionate with each other.

Only when I’ve gone for parentals cheeks and missed. It’s never intentional. FH is the only one who gets the lips!

My SO’s family and my Mother’s family aren’t very “touchy” people, but my Dad’s family is. His siblings kiss each other and, as that is the norm, he kisses my sister and I on the lips as well.

I know my SO finds it odd, but both they (Dad and siblings) and we (sister and I) grew up doing hellos and goodbyes that way.

Ehhh no. My family and I aren’t really super touchy. There’s the occasional hello or goodbye hug but that’s really all. I’m actually anxious about the father daughter dance because of how non touchy my family is. Like I feel like it’ll be awkward.

Nope. I had an innapropriate experience with such a thing, so I will never kiss any other relative on the lips. I’d duck away if someone tried to.

I do not kiss anyones mouth but FI’s. My sons dad’s family does though and its icky (to me! I would never tell them to do otherwise- whatever floats your boat). My son tries to kiss me on the mouth and I get weirded out by it, so I just playfully tell him “Nooooo, Mama likes cheekies kissed!” It works.

Does my dog counts as a family member? lol.. but yea, other than the dog and Fiance, I don’t think I’ve kissed any family members on the lips — except for my mom when I was a kid.

In the area my maternal grandparents are from it is customary to kiss on the lips and we still do though I have begun to feel awkward about it in the last 5 years or so. I kiss my parents and paternal grandparents on the cheek.
