I have been searching the web for this and it just dawned on me, why not ask my most favorite group of helpful ladies (and gents)?!
Wedding is in 2 weeks (eek!) & I tried on my dress last night for fun. Yes, I am that girl. And, it seems I have lost a bit more weight than I had planned on. Its a teeny bit loose in the clevage area. Seriously, I think I am the only one who will notice. It still fits great. But I seemed to remember someone posting to use double sided tape between dress and bra…. just to make sure that everything stays where its supposed to?
Does anyone have an experience with this? If so, what tape? I assume normal double stick scotch should do the trick. But help me out if you know anything.
Thanks so much all!

hobbitses : I am a tiny chested lady so even with alterations, most formal gowns are way too big on me up there (I get what I call the shelf, where the dress sticks out but my chest doesn’t, so there’s a big gap and you can see down my dress)! Two-sided tape has saved me so many times, formal and otherwise! I also use it if I’m wearing something super low cut and want to make sure the sides of the cut stay in place.
Don’t do scotch tape as it’s not designed to adhere to skin. Go to Sally’s Beauty Supply (or any similar store/department) and get a box of toupee tape. It holds better on skin since it’s meant to be worn on skin, and it comes off easily when you’re ready to peel it off. Just place the strip wherever you want the dress to stick, and then peel off the backing and stick your dress to it. Works like a charm. 😉

I use Flash Tape body/dressing tape. I’ve worn it to weddings in the past when my dress didn’t fit quite right and it stayed in tact through the entire thing! Dancing and all! You can get it at any convenience store like a Rite Aid.
