Actually often I just wear my wedding band. That way I don’t have to worry about the gym or swimming with it on.

I’m not married yet, but I wear my engagement ring every day. I plan to continue doing that unless my hands are swollen from the heat or I need to wear gloves (my nice ones don’t fit with my engagement ring). Personally I don’t see the point in nice jewelry if it’s not being worn.

As for cleaning, I’m not super rigorous. But I also have a black onyx so it’s not really sparkly, it’s shiny. The most I do is wash with dish or hand soap (my hand soap doesn’t have any lotion or anything like that in it). I guess I’m not super particular.

Yep, but I don’t wear it when I exercise, clean, wash my hands, apply lotion, or use any cosmetics. I’ll also continue to wear it after I get married.

I don’t wear mine every day. I actually only wear it 2/3rds of the time because I work 24/48’s in healthcare. So the second I get home I wash my hands and put on my sparklie. Then two days later when I get up in the morning to get ready for work she goes into the bathroom drawer until I come home the following morning. Drawer because I have an asshole cat who knocks everything off any flat surface.

I miss wearing my ring when I’m at work, but it’s too sentimental for me to risk losing the stone at work or bending the band. I work with my hands and just can’t risk it. Once I get married I’ll wear a silicone band since it’s easy to clean and I can replace if they get damaged or lost.

I don’t wear my engagement or wedding rings often. I tend to forget, or I’m lazy to grab it. I love my rings but I’m more practical about when or where I wear it to.

If I’m going to an event or something other than errands or work, I normally do.

I wear mine 23.5 hours out of every day. 22 hours on gym days

I only take it off to shower and exercise

I am 100% genuinely terrified of losing it, it’s the most expensive piece of ANYTHING I own. I literally paid less for my 9 year old Ford Focus.

So I never take it off unless I absolutely have to.

Also because well…it’s sparkly and wonderful and I love the attention it attracts tongue-outtongue-outtongue-out

Pre baby I wore my full set pretty much through almost everything except the gym. Jewellery comes off for that except for a plain band. Now that I have baby I tend to wear my wedding ring only with some spacer bands and  engagement ring when I go out. Once my daughter’s soft spot is firm I will be wearing my ring again. I’m just too nervous about hitting it with jewellery. Especially high set prong jewelery. My wedding ring is also prongs but much lower set so I feel fine wearing that.

Whatever way I wear my set though I prefer to wear it though cooking/cleaning/sleeping/showering because I am really excellent at losing jewellery. I lost a gorgeous set cleaning it once.  So I just wear it and use gloves to protect myself from chemicals and food and just make sure I see the jeweller for checkups more often than usual and make sure the set is insured 🙂

I wear mine 24/7 with the exception of the shower!

Normally I wear mine all the time except for when I’m showering, doing the dishes cleaning or sleeping, I’m currently contemplating if I should wear it for work or not, I’ve got a pretty hands on job and the stone fell out recently (its currently out for repair) and talking to my jeweller, she thinks it fell out because I may have knocked a prong loose when I fell over at work last week, and judging by the bruise on my right hand if I did then it was quite a smack that all went into the force of my ring because there’s no mark on my left hand.

I really thought the point was to wear them all the time. I take mine off when I am painting or when I recently did some tiling. That is it. I hate taking them off.

I think if you’ve bought something so over the top you can’t wear it all the time you’ve missed the point entirely.

I wear mine when I’m out of the house, so every work day and weekends we go somewhere. Once I’m home I generally change into comfy clothes, including taking off my watch and engagement ring. I wore it 24/7 before we got married, but I had a wobbly stone that had to be repaired, which made me a bit wary, now I’m just in the habit of taking it off at home. My wedding band is just plain metal band so I wear that all the time, showering and sleeping and everything else.

It shouldn’t really get damaged unless you’re doing something that it will get bashed about..or filthy. I use mild soap and a baby toothbrush to clean mine when I notice the underside of the stone getting a bit dull and mucky. A gold polishing cloth does wonders too!

I wear mine every day, but my wedding band has a cutout so it sits flush against the engagement ring, so if I wore it on its own, it would look really weird!

I’m currently getting my set re-sized but when I have my actual set I rarely take it off except to sleep maybe. It goes to get checked about every six months or so when I have it dipped. Mind you my princess cut doesnt sit that high.

satxgirl :  I wear mine everyday, but I take it off at night time and don’t shower with it. I clean it with hot soapy water and it does a great job.
