I think it’s wierd. Not the ring itself, but useing an engagement ring from a marriage that ended in divorce as an heirloom. I think if he wanted to use a ring that belonged to his mother he should have used something that was just her’s. It would be different if she and Prince Charles hadn’t divorced.

I love rose gold and/or two-toned rose and white gold.   For rose gold I like Leighton Meesters.  For two-toned rings I like Blake Livelys e-ring and Katie Holmes e-ring from Tom Cruise.  I also liked Desiree Hartsock (bachelorette).

It’s pretty but way too large for regular wear for me. In a lot of pictures where she’s clapping, you can see the ring has flipped around or fallen to the side. That would drive me nuts.

I find a lot of celebrity rings to be beautiful to look at but too big for me to be interested in actually wearing them. I really like Beyonce’s ering. I also like Queen Elizabeth’s, Candace Cameron Bure’s yellow gold and diamond ring, and that actress that has a rose quartz ering.

I think Kate Middleton’s ring is very classic and elegant, especially with the sapphire center stone (classic for e-rings). out of the rings I’ve seen, I think Blake Lively’s is just perfection. Also lady gaga’s giant heart-shaped diamond is gorgeous! And Victoria Beckham’s pear e-ring was what inspired my love for pear-cuts lol…  I don’t care for celebrities but I love jewelry 😁

It’s nice. My mom always said she thought it was creepy since Diana’s dearth involves so mugh controversy. I think she thought it wasn’t like bad luck or something.

Nice ring, but personally I wouldn’t chose it for myself for engagement. Call me old fashion..I like diamonds.

I am in love with Kate’s ring….but I might be biased because it was the main inspiration behind my engagement ring!

I also love Grace Kelly’s engagement ring and I love Mandy Moore’s wedding band with now ex-husband Ryan Adams.

Here’s my ring. Other than being much smaller than Kate’s and my sapphire being quite a bit darker, it’s yellow gold because I prefer the look more and it matches my olive skin tone smile

littlesymmetry :  oh yeah it’s definitely weird.. her death is more than controversial, there are many people who believe she was sacrificed in a satanic ritual…. if you look at the circumstances, it’s at least clear that her death was not an accident. There are many horrible rumors surrounding the royal family, and most celebrities in general (MK Ultra anyone?) which is why I don’t waste my time with all the “celeb gossip”…. BUUUUT that’s a discussion for a different thread I think 😉 (or a different crowd)

I would like it as a right hand ring, but I wouldn’t want an engagement ring that belonged to someone else especially if their marriage ended in divorce.

nykkee :  Diana continued to wear the ring even after the divorce, so for whatever reason it was special to her.

I like Kate’s ring even though I’m not a huge fan of blue sapphires. I prefer really bright and saturated blue sapphires, and Kate’s is on the dark side.

There is no celebrity ring I can think of that I just LOVE. Their engagement rings are usually like the names they choose for their children: they try so hard to be over the top and “unique” that the rings/names end up looking/sounding ridiculous IMO. They are usually way too big also and I love big rings!

calliekalico2 :  I do! A woman I know has a similar sapphire with diamond halo and hers is beautiful too.

Westwood :  I agree. William should have let her pick her own ring, not given her Diana’s. She probably had no choice in the matter. I would have saved it for the little girl Charlotte. I don’t care for colored stones and the ring is too big for her finger.

I love that ring but she wore an emerald cut aquamarine with coordinating pearl bracelet with aquamarine clasp that I loved even more. The rings are too large for US regla’ folk but I doubt she washed too many dinner dishes 😂

I have a very similar one with a citrine stone – so yes, I love it.
