    I think she pulls too many stunts to be taken seriously. Meat dress, really!!!!

    I think she has an inflated opinion of herself as an “artist.” It must be painful to be so contrived all the time.

    That being said, I love the shit out of all her songs for the first week or two after I hear them, before they start getting overplayed.

    I don’t like her but I love her music. She comes across as snobbish and very pretentious.

    I couldn’t care less about Lady Gaga and her stunts, and I didn’t know she was doing anything to the music industry (I really don’t pay attention to these things–I just hear from people that she’s weird). BUT, I love her music! And I don’t listen to the radio so I don’t get sick of her, lol.

    She’s weird as all get out. She dresses like a crazy person. Yeah, she’s a bit extreme but she has good intentions to spread love and acceptance whether you’re black, white, gay, straight or just uniquely different. I went to one of her concerts and she’s def. got talent. And the stunts she pulls like a meat dress or her music awards performance last year…..just a brilliant marketing strategy- you may not like her but you certainly know who she is and she is ALWAYS in the media….no one can deny that. The new controversial “judas” song/video…it pushes a lot of people’s buttons but how many people do you think tuned in for the video premiere just to see what everyone was talking about?

    love love love her music. I don’t have much of an opinion on her as a person, but I like that she clearly doesn’t care what other people have to say about her.

    I don’t care for her or her music. I’m also not fond of the fact that she replaced her face on the “mother mary” candles and started selling them on her website. I think that was offensive to anyone who may have been catholic. I’m also not cool with the swallowing of the rosary beads in one of her videos. Seems a little uncalled for if you ask me.

    I definitely have to give her props for putting it out there and being different.  For the longest time it seemed like female artists were new and exciting and different because she’s *gasp* brunette!  not blonde.  I also really like her message of tolerance and acceptance.  I can’t really speak to her as a person though.  I don’t know anything about her.

    I love her music but can’t stand to watch her doing anything else. I watched her concert on tv the other night and just wanted to fast forward past her talking and stuff.

    @Bostonsmom:  Agreed.  Born This Way came on the radio and both J and his buddy were asking “Who is this?  It sounds like Madonna.”

    I love her. Sure, she’s a little crazy but that crazy has made her millions. While I don’t know if she’s “changing the music industry”, I do think she’s brought a hell of a lot more personality to it.

    @caitlanc:

    The first few times I heard it I kept wanting to sing the lyrics to “Express Yourself.” They sound identical.
