    MrsSapphireTopaz :  yes I would’ve assumed it’s pronounced Eh-lee-us!

     

    ETA- Though now that I think about it the “li” in Elijah is pronounces as “lie” so makes sense.

    That’s our 18 month old boy’s name! Original enough,elegant, and we haven’t had an issue with pronunciation. We also pronounce it E-Lie-Us and once people hear now you say it, they adjust. Same lie sound as Elijah, I just liked this version better. We do usually call him Eli, but once in a while use his full name. I always get compliments on his name, and sadly it’s getting more popular now lol. In 2017 I had not heard of anyone else with the name!!

    I’m Greek so Elias and Leo are great boy names in my book =) My family pronounces it EL-ee-as.

    i voted yes, i love the name but that name is pronounced EL-lie -as, dont try to change it. You’ll only get frustrayted
