I freaking LOVE my bed frame. Looks WAY better in person. Very majestic. Has a silver nailhead trim on the wings.

I do run into it on occasion but it doesn’t really hurt! Wooden frames are dangerous lol. Bruise central!

What do you mean “run into?” We have a wooden bed and I don’t think I’ve ever run into it.

Edit: If you mean you run into the corners of the bed I think one with a footboard would be perfect for you.

I don’t have a picture of our bed but it is somewhat similar to this:

Love the look of it.  It’s a gorgeous sleigh bed but it squeeks like no other.

We live in a brownstone so everyone else in the house can hear us when it’s sessy times.  I’m sure.

We have a bed similar to this, upholstered in leather.. no hard parts to get injured on except wooden feet near each corner. I’ve managed to stub a toe before, but only once or twice in like the 5 years we’ve had it haha.

I run into the footboard of my bed too. Hits me right in the thigh. Needless to say, I’m not a fan of footboards.

the bed in this apartment? hate it. it’s lofted, it’s got sharp corners, it’s just awful. the joys of furnished student housing.

my bed at home, however.. love it, miss it, can’t wait to go home to it. it’s a discontinued model from ikea, but this one is similar. i’ve had it for 7 years, it’s held up really well. i love how delicate it is. and it’s got no harsh edges. though, i have knocked my hand on the bed before, while reaching for something on my nightstand. hurt like nothing else. my mattress is awesome too. it’s a stearns and foster something. it was not cheap. but it’s the most comfy thing ever.

also, since PP’s mentioned squeaking- my bed at home doesn’t squeak. i think it’s just cause it’s pretty solid. i dunno. i’ve never had squeaking issues.

commenting to follow since we’re in the market for a new bed soon!

Ladies with upholstered headboards – anyone get a great deal?! Where should we look? I’ve seen some ones I love online but none in stores (with the exception of pottery barn and restoration hardware which are super expensive).  We want the majority of $ to go towards a great mattress, not the bed frame!

I love our bed, for several reasons. mrMojito and his brother made it, so I feel like it’s special. It’s really cool looking- basically a platform with a lattice headboard. And the bottom is solid, so the cats can’t destroy the mattress like they did in our guest bedroom! I do stub my toe on the corners pretty often though, which is not too fun!

I have a nice big cherry-wood sleigh bed (foot board and head board) and don’t run into it. It’s a taller bed, my husband says I need a ladder to get into it lol!
