I love it – as a student I only cooked for myself, and cooking for 1 is hard! But with the two of us it’s fun to bounce new ideas and get feedback on new dishes and just have someone to share the meal with… plus we both like to cook so it’s a nice bonding time πŸ™‚

I NEVER cooked until I moved in with my Boyfriend or Best Friend (now FH). He is a carpenter and works really hard all day and needs a good, home-cooked meal everyday (he refuses to eat fast food– it makes him sick.) When I first moved in with him, I was only working part-time and felt that one contribution I could offer, since he basically supported me, was to feed him. That was over 2 years ago, and since then I have become pretty good at it! I love feeding him, and usually eat the food myself. Plus we can save money for the wedding.  He usually takes me out to eat on Fridays, and on Sundays he BBQs.

I love it, but then again I have always loved cooking and baking.

OMG, I hate cooking!! I never know what to cook and whenever I venture out and try to cook something new it always comes out horrible. Thankfully Fiance looooooves to cook, so he cooks and I clean. πŸ™‚

    Works perfectly for us.

I would select all three of these.  I dont have time and I suck at it, but I do like to eat, and I dont like getting take out cause its not as healthy and expensive.

@bells: I don’t think you’ll tire of it. To me, it sounds like you enjoy taking care of others, something that never goes away!

I love cooking, because I like you, like to take care and feed others. I love to experiment with different flavors, ethnic foods, and things I can’t pronounce haha. My favorite part of cooking is watching others enjoy what I made for them. My least favorite part of being a cake designer is not being able to watch people cut and eat the cake I made just for them πŸ™

I absolutely hate it with a passion. Not for any of the poll reasons, I just find it incredibly boring. I’d rather watch paint dry. My Fiance is well aware that when we’re married, he’ll be doing most of the cooking lol

Wow I hate cooking. I also have a pretty crummy kitchen to cook in so I think that contributes to the miserable experience. My food doesn’t turn out well and its so much work for half an hour of eating. <—- holy gripe fest there! Anyways, I’m happy that Fiance usually cooks when we get to have a meal together. Otherwise it would be apple sauce and tuna cans for dinner!

I don’t hate cooking but I don’t love it either.

It’s fun sometimes if I’m making something interesting and that I like a lot. Sometimes it’s annoying when things don’t come out the way I’d like. Sometimes it’s cool to change up recipes and personalize them with flavors you prefer. Sometimes it’s hot and tedious. Sometimes it’s drool inducing and a great bonding activity with my mom. It just depends on the where when how and why πŸ™‚

I like to cook sometimes but I have to be in the mood (I’m not the type who wants to cook every night).  I’m not the best cook out there, but I can do basics and I can follow most any recipe.

Darling Husband is a really good cook and really likes to cook.  I enjoy being his sous-chef. πŸ™‚

I hate cooking. I’m a decent cook (if I have a recipe), but cooking holds no fun for me at all. If I didn’t work, I would cook and consider it part of my job as a housewife, but I work full time, so the last thing I want to do when I get home after a hard day at work is stand for an hour and figure out what to feed me and my Fiance. My Fiance hates to cook too. Luckily we work different hours right now, so usually we are eating dinner at separate times, and I just eat cheese and crackers for dinner.

I love cooking. It’s actually kind of a stress relief, if you can believe it. And I really like cooking special meals for people (FI, family, close friends) – it’s a way to put effort and creativity into something I know they’ll like. Or in some cases, I cook something I love to share that experience with them.

Of course, in my early 20s, I hated cooking with a passion. Things change.

It’s also nice when I get home and Fiance has cooked dinner, though. πŸ™‚

Love it! I like to come home from work after doing everything I “HAD” to get done… and relax doing something I enjoy. Finding new great recipes makes my day.
