With all of the stress and pressure that being in a LDR puts on us, sometimes I like to send my bf something to let him know that I’m thinking of him. I don’t get to send them often, so I try to make these a big event for both of us. I will literally spend months putting together a carepackage and I really enjoy it. I love to put together reminders of great trips, inside jokes and (of course) great snacks. Right now I have one coming together to suprise him for Valentine’s day and it got me thinking. What do Bees like to send their honeys? I’m trying to make mine depend less on snacks this time. lol
ETA: I noticed this same question was posted during my haitus sooooo—for a twist, how about telling me what YOU would want in your dream care package from your sweetheart.

hmm, this reminds me that i haven’t sent one in a while. the mister likes to send me random packages filled with random stuff, cds with computer programs or movies, and sometimes toys. i know, random. in his last random care package he put in an optimus prime transformer [my favorite]. i didn’t even know he bought one! lol.
i have trouble sending him stuff because i never know what to put in so i mimic my mom and just put in snacks. not the most original but he does enjoy wasabi peas. i should send him some more. but we both always tuck in a nice little note in everything we send

We don’t. I wish we did 🙁 but international postage is so expensive and the mail where I live is extremely unreliable – things are often removed from boxes. So we say we save our money for flights instead.
It’d be nice to get cards or letters from him at least though!

Um, a bag of swedish fish…cuz i don’t buy them for myself.
Maybe a cheap little charm or something for my necklaces (i wear multiple pendants on one chain often), a sweet note.
I used to get really random cards a lot. It didn’t matter the occassion of the card, just that it was funny. So sometimes i’d get a random happy birthday card and it was always kinda fun =]
I used to send him all the stuff he couldn’t get in iraq when he was there! orange powerade mix, tic tacs, soap, chocolate…the little things matter =]

When I was over seas we would send each other things ALL the day (letters, packages, etc) like everyday, but now that we get to see each other at least once a month we haven’t sent anything unless it is a special occasion. I miss getting cute packages 🙂

My last year of college we were half the country apart and saw each other once every 3 months… it sounds really corny but one night a week we would go to the video store (or I would netflix in advance) and rent the same movie. then we would settle down (him in VA with a 6 pack me in KS with a bottle of red) and start the movie at the exact same time, we would either be on the phone or on skype. It was a way for us to be doing some “together” even though we were apart. Sometimes we would surprise eachother and the movie that we were going to be watching was already waiting and rented at the local blockbuster for the other person. Sometimes i would come home from work to do this and i would open the fridge to find a favorite movie snack that he had called my roommate to purchase for me. Sometimes he would send me the dvd we were watching because he knew it lived at the top of my list of movies i want to own (high fidelity, say anything, serendipity, pretty much anything with john cusack)
I know its incredible corny and it was a favorite topic of my friends to make fun of us for, but it was well worth it!

We haven’t really so far, but I’m about to send the first one! I’m sending him a V-Day package since this is the first V-Day in 4 years that we haven’t been together. Im sending a card, some candy, some cheesy boxers and some “for your eyes only” pics. lol
