    Q:

    Do you need a washing machine to have a baby?

    A:

    The last I checked, you needed a man for that….

    ::Drum roll::

    Thank you! I’ll be here all week!

    I do not have a baby but I KNOW an in house washer and dryer is essential.  My mom used to have to drag us all down to the laundry mat and it was boring as heck.  It was not a fun process at all.  Doing it at home is easier.

    We live in an apartment, and no laundry in our actual unit but there are community washers and dryers on the first floor.

    I can’t fathom having to do laundry as often as you have to with kids while having to always go to a laundromat.  Especially while cloth diapering too!

    @StuporDuck:  LOL, I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that!  I was thinking the vibrations might be some weird aid to TTC?  LOL

    Our washer just broke and we had to wait a month for the new set to come. I have a 10 and 3 year old and it was such a PITA to go to the laundromat. I can’t even think about how bad it would have been if this had happened when our baby gets here. I think having a W/D in the same building would be doable, but making the actual trip to the laudromat all the time with kids would be hard.

    With as much baby laundry I have (plus I cloth diaper), there is no way I would want to use a laundromat. I would say an in-home washer-dryer is essential.
