the only time that i see yellow in my rings is when the lighting is not good. when the sun is setting, or when there is a lamp with a yellow lamp shade, etc.  it is definitely not yellow on it’s own, but it does reflect yellow light if it’s shined on it.

that being said, it does reflect other colors too. when i’m in the woods surrounded by trees it reflects green, etc.  it takes a little getting used to, but this is honestly one of the things i love about it now! i think it’s like visible inclusions in diamonds- at first it makes you want a different stone, but then you love it for being unique.

I don’t have mine yet so I can’t answer from personal experience, but a known characteristic of moissanite is that it picks up on the colors around it, so you’re going to see color reflections sometimes. Personally I think that’s really cool. πŸ˜‰ The stones themselves don’t have any color really (not the new batches–maybe some of the old ones), other than the D, G, H, J, etc color scale of course.

@Nicole121212:  Why don’t you order a stone from BTD or moissyco to see in person & then return? The moissyco restocking fee for loose stones is hardly anything . . . Like under $20 bucks depending on stone size. And BTD might not even charge a restocking fee.

I voted “no color” because mine essentially is colorless. However, compaired to my friend’s D color diamond, my Amora does not look as white (but only when we hold them right next to each other). Compaired to my other friend’s K colored diamond, my Amora looks super white.

Pretty much exactly what you would expect, color-wise, from a G-H diamond.

It does if I’m right next to things which are blue or yellow, but otherwise, no. It does turn very grey in certain lighting, like in elevators. It also gets crazy sparkly when it turns grey though, so I actually enjoy it.

Yes, I get a lot of blue. It’s beautiful πŸ™‚ the whole STONE isn’t blue, but it definitely throws off blue sparkles.

My Amora is an OEC cut which shows more color than a Ring Bearer, but I’ve only managed to see white about 50% of the time , ivory 49% of the time, and a light-ish-yellowish-greenish color once so far (outside, when raining, with the ring held up to some green foliage), and I am EXTREMELY color sensitive. Not to say warmer colors bother me, it’s just that I can see them.

Mostly it just throws lovely pastels and gorgeous chunky flashes of light around. <3

I get twinges of warmth sometimes. I notice it most at a thai place near me that has yellow walls. It picks up surrounding colors.
At work, though (in an office) OMG I cannot stop staring at it. So so so white and sparkley.
I’ve only had her for 6 days and I’m getting use to the warm twinges already. I’m REALLY color sensitive so at first it bothered me a bit..

Mine gets a weird color in the car sometimes..maybe because it’s shady in there. It doesn’t bother me because if I’m driving, why the heck would I be looking at my ring anyway?!

mine isn’t an amora moissy, its an unenhanced moissy. Sometimes i can get my ring to reflect blue or yellow light.

@SecretBee23:  mine sometimes reflects a weird color in the car too, i think it might be the tint on the windows
