I don’t, but SO does fairly regularly. I don’t have a problem with it- I wish they’d hurry up and just legalize it everywhere already.

@Baroness_Meg:  We are both entitled to our own opinions. I just do not believe it is nearly important enough of an issue to worry about when so many other things plague our society.

I agree that Law Enforcement should be after drug dealers/makers/and users though. I also believe things like Meth are a much bigger issue – but, like I said, I just don’t agree with the majority of people who support Marijuana use’ reasoning based on my personal experience. I have not disowned anyone in my life who has smoked/tried pot – I just don’t agree with the choice.

@AnonBeeLee:  I am aware of that and you are right. The only thing is that you CAN get addicted to it too, the withdrawal symptoms aren’t the same though.

Oh and sometimes you don’t have to read into every single line/word people write on the internet ;). I was being vague. I didn’t want to write an essay 🙂

ETA: Woops after reading your reply VERY carefully I realized you didn’t exactly say weed isn’t addictive. Sorry my bad.

Both of us do. a lot of people where i live do. in fact my mom does it. so do his parents. i know nurses, teachers, book keepers, lol we all are responsible and are great at our jobs. we are hard working people. i work out, do arts and crafts, am involved in the community.  but yeah pretty much everyday. i realized in college that i like it more than drinking.  i dont have hangovers with it or get sick on it ever.  i treat it like having a beer after work.

I don’t smoke weed but my boyfriend does about once a week. It’s a stress reliever for him (right now he’s working a shit job trying to get into grad school).

If it became something where he needed to smoke to get through the day or he quit his job and just stayed home and smoked hash then yeah I’d probably throw a fit but as long as it doesn’t interfere with his life I don’t mind.

@lovin_iswhatigot:   That’s fine.  But not to go back and forth, but you did say “The only difference is that it’s illegal.”  There really wasn’t anything to read into, that statement just wasn’t true and I believed you actually thought that that’s why I replied the way I did.  Was just trying to educate, didn’t know you were being facetious.  Sorry!

I have an allergy to the stuff. A boyfriend tried to get me to smoke it. I was fiddling arround with the plant he had in his bedroom and got the worst. rash. of my LIFE.

That stuff stays far away from me. Fiance tried it once, but failed to see what was so great about it.

I will say I do judge people who use it to ‘mellow out’. I wouldn’t take a vicoden every so often to just ‘relax’ or for fun.  Is it safe? It could be. Should it be legal? Sure- let’s tax the hell out of it too! But I think that we have laws and it’s our duty to follow them to maintain a orderly society.

There are tons of things I think should be changed and should not be illegal. But if we all went around following our moral compass and ignoring the law we’d have a chaotic society. Lobby for a California-type law in your state. If your state has one- cool!- smoke your weed and don’t let it touch me.

@bebero:  i am saying thats my opinion. thats how I feel, not neccesarily what other people believe or that it is a fact.  thats what an opinion is, like I said. Doing illegal drugs ruined my family and my childhood thanks to my parents “smoking a joint before bed”. When you do illegal things, you will eventully get caught (its only a matter of time) and you and the people you love will have to suffer those consequences. I SUFFERED because my parents were not mature enough to stop putting their wants ahead of their childrens needs. I know what it is like to be a child of a parent who does illegal drugs and I know the consequences of it too well. You can argue your point all you want and I respect it, but this topic is wayyy to close to home for me. how the hell could I ever think any differently?! please respect my opinion as I respect everyone elses opinions on the matter. I choose to not attack anyone on here for having a different opinion than me. Another trait I feel is related to maturity.

A little information on California law when it comes to marijuana as there seems to be some confusion…. it is only really legal with a prescription. If you get busted, it depends on how much you have on you, but a small amount will really only get you a ticket. So far the only states that allow possession is Washington and Colorado.

@Cady:  around here that’s a technicality. Anyone who wants to pay a fee from one of those “420” dr.s can get one for things like PMS, Migranes, Insomnia, Asthma (which everone seems to legitimatly have overe here) and a bunch of other stuff. It’s kind of a joke

@MissFireFlower:  Yep true, it is basically “quasi-legal” here. I just felt like a couple Bees were thinking it was actually fully legal in California…like um no you can still get in trouble. I am one of those that actually do not feel right about getting a prescription when I really don’t need it. On the rare occassions that I have smoked (which is like twice a year if that), no I did not have a prescription. My husband dosn’t have one either. Yes, illegal *gasp* but whatever.

Yet we do know a quite a few that do have a prescription. A couple of them admitted to how easy it was to get.

I have a hard time with the fact that guns are legal & widely accepted (and pretty easy to get as I am told) and marijuana, a plant, yes a drug (so is booze!) is illegal.

@bestbuddies:  I’m a child of parents who smoke weed and it didn’t have a negative impact on me. Just cause your experience was bad doesn’t mean that it is plain wrong. Just like having alcoholic parents suck, and alcohol is legal.
