I usually wait a week before going into full panic/excitement mode. Lots of things can effect your cycle, especially if you’re not like clock work to begin with. 🙂

fwiw I awlays over-analyse, I’m somewhat Hamlet-like, I can’t seem to help it.

@kitzy: I’m the same.

Not trying to conceive, just the opposite actually and I have to try and convince myself I’m NOT pregnant and I don’t need to go get a pregnancy test. It’s one of those just try not to think about it things.

We were not evening TTC, but I just knew something didn’t feel right and I was a day late.  I too thought it would be really hard for us to concieve but it sure wasn’t!

Yes!!  I’ll think something like “I’m extremely tired all the time” and then I’ll realize I’m not even in the 2WW yet.  I actually prefer those two weeks because at least there is a chance that I’m pregnant during that time!

Haha two nights ago my Fiance said, your belly looks really round, not fat but just round. So of course I go into OMG I’m so pregnant.

And then the next day I had a HORRIBLY heavy leakage issue. And I’m on Depo for over a year and I’ve never had any leakage of that sort so I called my doctor and He said I needed to go to a gyno. Of course that got me all worked up so I asked if he thought I was Pregnant and he still won’t give me an answer. So, pray ladies! Idk if I want or don’t want to be but pray I’m healthy at least!

@regberadaisy: I wouldnt think too deep into it. When we stopped using birth control altogether, I thought everytime my period was late that I was pregnant. It was until the last time that I knew for sure. Trust me, when you are, you’ll know for sure and it will take little to no guessing.

I’m totally psycho about pregnancy tests. Even though I’ve never been regular, if I am a day over 4 weeks (which doesn’t even mean anything with my track record) I will take a test. I’ve been that way since I was 18. When I was in college, I would have rather been out the money than spend time stressing about it. My friends were/are all the same way. Just recently my friend had a pregnancy scare (hoping for a negative, which it was), and I was hanging with her while she took it, and we were like, won’t it be weird when we’re actually hoping for a positive instead of praying for a negative?

Anyways, if you’re late, it wouldn’t hurt to take one. It sounds like it’s not impossible you are just late and not pregnant, but you never know.

You should take your temperature in the morning right when you wake up (leave it by the bed so you don’t have to move much). If it seems a bit elevated, go take a test. That’s how I knew I was pregnant, elevated temps for over 16 days. You’ll have to kind of know what your low (i.e. period) temps usually run to get a good frame of reference. But if you’re close to 99 right when you wake up, you’re most likely pregnant.
