Uh, no. He’s a grown man. Not my kid.

He packs his own things, but I make suggestions of things not to forget… he almost ALWAYS forgets something! :o)

@kperry3: OMG! I thought Fiance was the only one who was guilty of the uncovered toothbrush! I HATE it. I am sending him through Germ-a-phobe 101 classes. Yuck!

HAH!  If anything, he should pack for me.  I hate doing it and have been known to melt down while trying to do so.  That said, if timing works out better that way, I’ve been known to throw his stuff together for him.

I don’t actually pack his clothes, but I have to do “the list.” “We’re going to this dressy event, do you have dockers, socks, the right shoes, a tie (that’s not wadded up on the floor)?’ ‘Did you bring your swim trunks?’ ‘Do you have your contact solution?’ Ooooon and on. But I cannot pack for him, somehow he thinks this is better!? Ugh!

Yes I do the majority of the packing.  Sometimes he “helps” by throwing clothes into a suitcase and I have to fold them neatly so they don’t get winkled. Even if he goes away without me I have to help him pack..  He just says I’m better at it and don’t forget anything.. But I think he is just lazy. 😛

He will start packing and then forget about it, so I will finish it for him and make sure he gets everything 🙂

No, but I will tell him “you need to pack!”  I’m usually the packing straggler though haha.

Always.  I do all the laundry, too, so it’s just easier for me to take care of packing his clothes.

He’ll help out with his toiletries and power cords, trip-specific items, etc.  He’s really organized, but I like to (and he likes me to) handle the clothing situation.

We do a joint effort. I do the basic things that i’ll know he’ll need like pants, socks etc and he decides on t-shirts, tops and jeans and does his toiletries.

The man won’t even let me put clothes out for him on special occasions. Twice he purposely wore t-shirts because I put out dress-shirts. Yell I don’t bother with packing, but I have to remind him to pack enough socks and underwear and I’m usually able to sneak in another pair of jeans an a formal shirt or two when he’s not looking!

No, I don’t. DH has done a ton of traveling so he’s great at packing for himself.

Despite the fact that DH has travelled around the world (literally!) I am the go to person when it comes to making sure he has what he needs when he is away from hom.

On a daily basis, I pretty much lay out his clothes for him. We wake up, he goes to shower and I gather his socks, boxers, t-shirts, and uniform pieces he is going to need for the day/couple of days/however long he is going to be away from home, and leave them on the bed or in his bag depending on what they are. I then proceed to go make breakfast for him while he finds his own jeans and shirt to wear to work. He grabs his packed bag, his breakfast, a kiss, and is out the door.

For longer, non-military related trips, I pack everything for him. It is just easier since chances are I am home, I have to pack my own bag anyway, and we usually share a bag. For long term military trips (i.e., cruises and deployments) we work together to make sure he has everything he needs. He keeps A LOT of uniform stuff on the ship so I never know what he needs and thus can’t pack for him in those situations.
