amberandoakes :  Your question makes no sense.  You can’t be planning and waiting at the same time.  If you’re planning a wedding then you are, by definition, engaged.  You just skipped the proposal part, which is fine.

A wedding THIS summer? I think you need to sit down and explain to him that you need a ring on your finger yesterday if you’re going to make a wedding happen in that timeframe. Maybe he doesn’t realize how much time and effort goes into planning a wedding but I feel it’s unfair of him to expect you to do all that work without him proposing to you. He needs to do his part first and then you can do yours.

We toss around ideas and have “solid ideas.” We never absolutely confirm anything though. It wouldn’t feel right to me unless we had settled on a date.

I’ve got a hidden Pinterest board and I peek at vendor’s websites every now and again. Nothing like calling for quotes or putting down a deposit, but it’s fun to visualize what the day might be like ☺️

Don’t do it.  Just look on here at all the girls who have had “promises” to propose but it doesn’t actually happen.
