    Cloth all the way! Leather might look nicer, but I find cloth feels nicer.

    I’ve had leather for almost a year now and I absolutely love it! Anything that spills wipes up easily. I can let people ride in the back seat without worrying about them getting dog hair all over them. And I’ve never stuck to them.

    Leather will be on the criteria list for any car I get later in life.

    Cloth, with the exception of my mom’s Mini Cooper, which has a fake leather (doesn’t hold temperatures like it though, AND has butt warmers!!!!!!) which I called pleather at the dealership and got MANY a mean glance, LOL. It’s fake leather, but NOT pleather. It’s really the best car interior I’ve ever seen.

    @maryjane, lol, i dunno, i like to drive around in my undies

    Not =]

    Volkswagon also has heated cloth seats. My roommate just bought a new car. The cloth isn’t super thick and plush, but really smooth and it’s so weird to feel your bum warming up.

    I can’t stand leather seats or leather furniture! It’s either too hot or too cold.

    I just replied to your other post.. i picked the Edge out of those. I personally don’t care one way or another btwn leather and cloth.. my car is cloth, my husband’s leather. If you like leather but are worried it’ll be hot – just get window tint! i can’t imagine why you wouldn’t tint your car anyway, since orlando is hot and sunny as balls.  If you have the tint, the leather will be just fine and look pretty slick, too.

    Valhalla you wouldn’t like my house! Leather sofa, loveseat, and chair. we have a big old leather club chair upstairs, too. If we went shopping today, we’d probably choose cloth for the sofas but stick to leather with the chair. SO much easier to clean and doesn’t hold all the cat hair.

    depends on personal preference, obviously, i’m saying leather! i have 2 kids, who puke, eat, and all kinds of craziness in my car. I am prone to spilling things all the time! I am all about leather due to that. And yes its hot as hell in the summer, but i use one of those window reflecting things so the sun won’t come into your windshield when i park, and its fine.

    I am so pro leather!

    Yes, The seat is hot, my legs do stick, but cloth seats gross me out! For some reason when i sit on cloth seats they feel dirty, esp if im bare legged, the cloth just feels yucky…I’m weird I know…

    @annieAAA – i’m that way too, with cloth. it feels… sticky. Like any grime or fuzz or hair on that cloth is going to be stuck to ME when I get out. heh. I know what you mean.

    The only plus I would have regarding leather seating is that it is easy to clean, under normal conditions.  But that is it for me personally.  Leather seats in cars equals: sliding around even while belted, they’re slippery; any part of your skin that comes into contact with the leather tends to stick to it; they’re hot and sticky and make you sweat in the summer even if you don’t tend to be a “sweater” 🙂 and they’re painfully cold in the winter if you don’t have heated seats. I personally don’t like the look of leather at all.

    I love plush, fabric seating.  It’s soft and comfortable and you stay put even when turning corners.  It feels great against your skin. It can be scotch gaurded to make clean up easy.  But it will tend to hold on to pet hair more than leather.  I equate fine fabric seating vs. leather with the same discrimination as I would have high quality cotton bed sheets vs. leather bed sheets. It’s all about the comfort.

    I think it’s sad that higher end cars don’t offer a cloth option.  Seems they don’t take into consideration those people that have good reason to opt out of leather or leather-like substitues. Leather to me is a deal breaker.
