Do you ever look at it and think: “I can’t wait for an Anniversary Upgrade?”
Did you discuss what you wanted with him and got something totally different?
Is it just plain ugly?
And if these apply to you: Did you tell him or ask him about it?

I love my e-ring!!! I better because I picked it out 🙂
Post # 4
I had no part in choosing my e-ring and I can honestly say that I absolutely LOVE it. It is just what I would have chosen for myself and I could never imagine making a single change to it.

I adore my e-ring and catch myself always staring at it in the light.

He had a family stone (a 1.25 ct round solitaire). We picked the setting together (the stone had been in a pendant so I didn’t have to worry about not liking the original setting).
Now that I have it, I don’t really LOVE it. Why, when I picked it out myself (with input from him)? I don’t really know. With the diamond in the setting, it just doesn’t quite look like the way I pictured it. Don’t get me wrong, its a very nice ring, but it didn’t quite turn out the way I pictured.
BUT..I would never say anything to my husband (or to anyone — just to the hive!). He’d feel bad and want to get me something new. And really, there is nothing wrong with the ring. I get lots of compliments. I don’t really know what my problem is.

LOVE mine! But then again, I picked it out. Not going to lie, my Fiance showed me a few he thought I would like, and I wasn’t really a fan of any of them. So I am glad I got to pick mine out to avoid the whole, “can’t wait for an upgrade” thought. LOL.

i’d type up my own response but it would basically be an identical post to FutureKMM. except i think it’s better than what i would have chosen for myself. i must say, Fiance hit this one out of the park.
that said, it’s easy for me to sit here and judge others who complain about their ring and think to myself “she should love it because he picked it out for her” but i do understand that sometimes guys just miss the mark. so for now on, i vow to judge you a little less when you complain about your e-ring 😉

I would never want to upgrade my ring, I love it the way it is. My inlaws said I could change the setting (it’s a family ring) but I don’t want to, it’s means so much to have the original ring. We didn’t discuss at all what I wanted. He got it perfect though, my main request would have been vintage, and it’s his great grandma’s.

I love mine! Even though the ring store offers whatever discount for anniversary upgrades…I couldn’t imagine giving up my original diamond. It’s special and I would never trade it in or up! 🙂

I love my e-ring! It was a total surprise and Darling Husband did amazingly. However I would get a 3rd thin band to wear after a big anniversary (first 10 years or something) if that was on the cards.

My husband picked something that is so me! He knew the baiscs (princess 1 ct solitare sitting high.) I mostly love the band, bc he knew i wanted diamonds in the band, but the band he found has diamonds set on all 3 sides. I have never seen anything like it, and i LOVE it!

I LOVE my e-ring!! My mom has since told me, however, that she intervened a very bad ring choice on my FI’s part and so this is how I came to have the ring of my dreams. Thanks mom!! lol.

I love my ring and I wouldn’t change a thing. Sometimes I feel guilty when I look at it because I would have been happy with a less expensive ring (I don’t know how much it costs, but I know he saved for a while).

I really love the ring my Fiance picked out. 🙂 It isn’t anything like I would have picked out for myself, but it’s truely perfect. And unless my Fiance insists, I don’t want an upgrade later on.

I love mine. I’ve had it for 6 months now and I still get giddy when I look at it.
