Later that night after things settled down a bit from the proposal, my Fiance asked me, “Honey, what did I say?” I told him honestly that the moment he started to go down on one knee I was in so much shock that I felt like I was listening to the teacher from Charlie Brown and all I heard was “WAA WAAA WAAA WAA WAAA…. Will you marry me?”
He said that he had practiced all day what he was going to say and the moment he saw me “go goofy” (I had my hands to my face and my eyes were bugging out) it all went out of his mind what he was going to say!
We both laughed that neither of us could remember exactly what he said except for the important question!

I knew it was going to happen that day, but I was still so excited that I’ve forgotten most of what he said. I know he said something about how “I want to spend the rest of my life with you” and “will you marry me?” but that’s all hahah! He was so uncoordinated getting the ring out….the box was in the bottom of his backpack, so we were both giggling to each other because he didn’t want to say the actual question until he had the ring out but it was stuck in the bag and he was just sitting there on one knee trying to get to it hahaha. I absolutely loved our proposal :))) Ah, fond memories!

bits and pieces, i can honestly say I blacked out. I had no clue he was going to propose, I had no clue he was even shopping for a ring!!! It was the best surprise of my life.
he made a copy of my key (we weren’t living together at the moment) hung out there until I got home. He attached a note around my dogs neck, which I had to read 3 times, and then i heard someone behind me and it was him and thats when I knew this was really happening and at that point he started to talk and I was in shock and started crying lol
there is more to the story but thats the jist of it
I heard things like i love you and you are ______ and i want to spend the rest of my life with you ____ some other nice things and then i saw him get down on one knee and he said will you marry me? Im still bawling and I just nodded and he said “is that a yes?” LOL He needed to hear the word YES
It was hysterical

We definitely have a healthy relationship with open communication. With that said, we had previously discussed how nice and refreshing it would be to write eachother love letters as we once did when we were 17 and 21. 🙂 At the proposal site (which was a totally unexpected surprise), we mentioned how he stayed up at night a wrote a letter for me that he would like to read to me directly. I focused and listened to each and every word, eventually leading me to believe it was “the moment” I had been waiting for. We both shed tears, the children held our hands and he went down on one knee. I’m lucky enough that he created an email to himself and sent it to me. I can’t tell you how many times I have re-read it. lol

“So…. Five years, huh? I guess it’s about time I do this”
Get’s down on one knee.
“Will you marry me?”
He’s so unromantic, but it’s him. LOL.

The restaurant was fancy. The propsal was not. He took my hand and asked, “will you marry me?”.

This is like my Fiance.. he opened and handed me the ring box and said: So do you want to put this on?
I looked up from my NEtflix binge and was like
Then at some point I reminded him that he hadn’t asked and he said: Oh come on, I already know you’re going to be my wife… or something like that. Which is SO not him so it was very sweet.

Nope! I mean, I can guess the gist of it, but when he shut the TV off at 7 pm, turned around and walked toward me, my brain immediately went into “What is going on” mode and then he got down on 1 knee and my ears shut off. I just waited for his lips to stop moving so I could say yes.

I remember the overall gist, but word for word? Nah.

I know that he said nice things and then got down on one knee and the dog jumped down making the whole thing so much better.
I do remember that my first words were really??? I have no idea why i was so shocked since I was pretty sure I had walked in my Fiance asking my dad for permission a few days before.

He was so nervous that he could barely mutter “will you marry me?” and he forgot to get down on one knee until after he asked haha. 🙂

I only remember bits and pieces, but Its not because I was shocked, but because he woke me up at 4am! His plans fell through, but decided he couldn’t wait anymore and woke me up and asked while we were in bed. I was only half with it, at least I remembered to say yes

I remember the overall gist and that it was VERY short.
