@MrsBlah:  I take mine off to shower since it’s a little loose and I’m afraid to lose it πŸ™‚ I also take it off when I put on lotion, cook, clean, workout, and sleep because it stabs me in the face hehe.

Just take it off when you feel like you need to. There are no rules and if you feel comfortable with it during rough activity, then that’s your choice.

Almost never!  Mainly just when I put lotion on (I hold it in my pursed lips so I don’t put it down and forget about it) and when I mountain bike (as there’s lots of falling involved and I don’t want to bash it on a rock).

It’s a 100-year-old heirloom ring so I’d feel like SUCH an asshole if I lost it.  Easiest way to not lose it is to keep it on.

I only take my ring off to clean it (maybe 3 times a year?).  I have a moissanite though, so lotion/oils aren’t as much of a problem (I use moisturizer/body lotion daily).  I cook, garden, craft, etc. with it on.  I’ve had it for over 2 years, I’m rough with my hands, and I haven’t had any problems with it.

@MrsBlah:  I take mine off all the time. It’s pretty tall (high profile), even though it is just the one stone, and it catches on EVERYTHING. I absolutely love it and the height is a big part of why, but the damn thing is constantly scratching something (often me) or getting gunky (lotion, shampoo / conditioner, whatever), so I take it off to do those things. It’s kind of sharp (the prongs), so I try to avoid physical harm by it.

It’s also a perfect fit when my hands are “normal”, so any time there’s swelling in my hands, it gets tight. I can’t stand that feeling.

So…yes. It comes off. πŸ™‚ But even though I take it off for a lot of things, it’s still on 95% of the time.

I take mine off a lot. When putting on lotion I usually put it between my lips to hold onto it, cooking/cleaning I have a little puzzle box sort of thing (hard to explain) that it goes into or if I’m taking a shower/sleeping it sits in its little ring box. I have 68 pave diamonds on my ring and I’m worried I’d lose one of them if I did anything major with it on.

I take mine off if I’m washing dishes, showering, cooking certain things (like baking) working in the yard, putting lotion/hairspray on, if its being cleaned, and when I’m working out (only if I’m boxing that day). Mainly for activities where it could get dirty, damaged or lost.

When I take it off I usually put it on my nightstand

@lolot:  +1 I do this too when I put lotion on. I hold the stone between my lips. Otherwise, I might put it down and forget.

I voted “other”. I take it off to clean it or put on lotion, but that’s usually it.

I take mine off when I am at home and it stays in the safe.  πŸ™‚
