I TOTALLY do. I’m a famous scavenger. Any time I go out to eat with people I’m close with, if someone doesn’t want their leftovers then they give them to me. Even coworkers on a work trip. They just laugh as they watch me piling a whole variety pack of leftover food into a container to take home. (though with coworkers, it has to be something you can be sure their fork/mouth didn’t touch … like, extra slices of flatbread pizza or something. With family, I don’t care if it has already been inside their mouths. I’ll still eat it.)
I got so mad at my sister this weekend because we went out for Thai food and when she had finished, she put her used napkin on top of her plate, tainting the leftovers so I couldn’t take them. God, what a B. I could have eaten that for breakfast the next day. Haha no amount of leftovers is too stingy for me to take! I WANT IT ALL!!! My mom once ordered Thai curry and she ate all the good stuff, leaving nothing but brown rice and the curry sauce behind.
I took it home. It was delicious. 🙂
Anyone else a total scavenger on restaurant leftovers??

@iarebridezilla: LOL, not at all. The very thought makes me sick. You can THIS but not the kitchen sink? You puzzle me but in the best way possible 😀
MrPanda99 will eat anything I don’t, so I guess he is the scavenger in our relationship.

@MrsPanda99: haha well if the leftovers became wet or touched the kitchen sink then it would be a completely different situation!

@iarebridezilla: No, and it kind of grosses me out to be honest. I definitely wouldn’t eat after coworkers. Think of how people eat (food falls back out of their mouths, saliva gets mixed in, etc). Not really sanitary. If I don’t get enough to eat, I’ll order more food before digging through someone’s leftovers.

gross…never! I’m even grossed out by my own leftovers sometimes

Nooooo, I don’t! It grosses me out!

The thought of someone else’s leftovers turn my
stomach. BUT, people scavenge mine! Haha

I do this ALL THE TIME!! Thank goodness i’m not the only one! I love taking the left overs! I also acavenger leftovers in fridge’s, family fridge’s of course. Any time I go to my mom’s I raid her fridge for the leftovers, even if I just ate. 🙂

@BushelAndAPeck: haha I was starting to worry I might be the only one!!! I mean, I’ve swapped spit with plenty of people in my life and it hasn’t even come close to killing me yet. So what if someone else (who I know pretty well) breathed on some food? IT’S STILL GOOD!!! Haha why let it go to waste, especially if it saves me having to buy lunch the next day?

@iarebridezilla: Lol, I am all about left overs! I used to work as a waitress and I would always get really sad seeing all the food we wasted. However, I never took customer’s left overs… that is a line I just wouldn’t cross.

My boyfriend is the scavenger! Every time we go out to eat, if I don’t polish off my plate, he will start eating off mine! It drives me nuts! I’m like EXCUSE YOU! I would like to save that to eat tomorrow!
Sigh. He can be annoying. But I still love him…even if he does eat off my plate. :p

No! I would only finish food that my Fiance had eaten.. not my parents, siblings, friends etc.. I’m weird 🙂

I will only with family and very close friends. I would never with coworkers etc. On the other hand if it was FI’s leftovers I would finish almost anything if he was done/didn’t want it anymore.

@iarebridezilla: My SIL scavenges my leftovers, but their dog eats people food so she takes it home to the dog. She prepares it in the restaurant though and chops it all up and mixes it together before putting it in the true “doggy box”. It is pretty disgusting and sometimes embarrasing as she will even do this at super nice restaurants.
