I have loved planning my wedding, but I feel like after a little while I start second guessing every little detail. Should I have tried on more dresses? Should I have picked a more detailed cake? I our first song the right song? Are my bridesmaids’ gifts enough? Should I have gotten the bigger catering package? I’ve started second guessing all the details and because I’m afraid of not making the right choice, I haven’t even booked my honeymoon! I’m making myself crazy! It actually makes me pretty upset!
Is anyone else going through this?
Luckily, the only thing I’m not second guessing is the man I’m marrying! LOL

@HVbride: Well that’s the most important thing!! I find myself second guessing a lot. I’ve changed my flowers, my dress and my colors. I had a 16 month engagement so I “had time” to change everything ya know?

@HVbride: Hello month twin! I’m second guessing myself too! It is so bad…i second guess everything. I think it’s normal. Lol

I’ve actually found that once I’ve made my decision and purchased/put down the down payment that I’ve felt pretty confident. i waffle around like a crazy person until I finally make the desicion though! I didn’t give myself a whole lot of time to plan (engaged for a year before I started, with 6 months left to go – I thought people who needed a year to plan were crazy, needless to say, I was WRONG haha) so I had to make my decisions and stick to them pretty quickly when it came to the big stuff – dress, caterer, tent, rentals, ect. It’s all of the little details I’ve been driving myself mad with!

I second guess everything in life. I’m a very indecisive person so it was bound to happen with the wedding. Fiance is total opposite of me, so he’s been great with the wedding planning. The minute I try to second guess myself, he reassures me I made my first decision for a reason and to stick with it.

@Future_Ms.Bostonceltics: My Fiance is the same way. I guess that’s why we work so well.. He keeps me grounded lol
@lealorali: I only had 9 months, but that was plenty of time for me lol I have a month off before my wedding, so I have this terrible feeling that I’m going to start nitpicking then and it will be way too late!
@Weetzie: Things that I have put down payments on I have tried not to harp on too much, but it’s already done. I won’t cost myself more money just cuz I’m being silly. 9 months was pretty perfect for me, but I did jump right into planning.

Yes, I’ve second guessed things that were just silly.
Our colors are Ivory & black, with hints of pinks.
For awhile, I was wondering if I should have chose white, instead of ivory.. with the uplighting in the venue, and the lights dimmed low.. you won’t be able to tell they are ivory, so I don’t know why I was worried about it.. but I was!
