I guess I never noticed it until I moved in with my Darling Husband into a house with light ceramic tile, but now he and I are finding hair everywhere!! Every morning after I dry my hair, I can wipe my hand across the floor and pick up around 10-15 hairs. I don’t have a thinning hair problem, so it seems to be just natural shedding, but it’s so annoying!
Last night I was cleaning up the table and he was putting the dishes away and he said “how did you manage to get hair in the dishwasher!?!?”
Do any other bees have this problem? Is there something that can be done other than vacuuming non-stop?

I shed a ton, but I have a lot of hair so it’s not noticeable…we just vacuum frequently and I’m mindful of not running my fingers through my hair TOO often. If I do it and I get a handful, I just throw it in the trash, lol.
I’m sure I’ll get more unprovoked shedding in the winter, though. I always do…

I shed like crazy. I actually got so fed up with it I had about 4 inches cut off the length so at least the pieces would be shorter. And I’m still waiting for my management company to come unclog our shower drain b/c it’s totally backed up. I don’t know if there’s anything you can do besides taking ‘good care’ of your hair with treatments, etc.

I have this problem too! I don’t know how to fix it, I just vacuum and sweep a lot. I think it’s because I have really thick hair, fine strands, but lots of it!!

Ugh, yup, I shed big time! My hair isn’t getting any thinner, but I shed a TON. I have vacuum any time I blow dry my hair, and pull all my hair out of the drain every time I shower so it doesn’t get clogged. If anyone knows how to stop it I’d love to know!

omg. Me too! After I had my daughter i started shedding ridiculously. My doctor said it’s because all the hormonal changes. GREAT! So all you hair shedders… pray it doesnt get worse after having kids.

@babebabe06: I can’t cook with my hair down. If I do my hair always ends up in our food.

I do too. To help it I always brush my hair out really good before I shower (gets a lot of it out), then after I comb my hair after I shower but before I blow-dry, I kind of run my hands through and pull out any extra hair and throw it in the trash. Then after I blow dry I brush again.
If I do that, it really seems to cut down on the random shedding on clothes (which I HATE)

I do 🙁 I brush my hair when it’s wet though (Bad Lindsay!!) and it breaks pretty easily.

Anytime my Darling Husband gets annoyed at finding my hair places, I always say “would you rather I pull a Britney Spears?”
That shuts him up for a while 🙂

YES! I also have fine, thin hair. With how much I shed, I’m surprised I haven’t gone bald yet.

i have super thick curly hair, and lots of it, so yeah, i shed a lot! especially in the shower, i think the curls keep some of the shedded hairs stuck in there during the day, haha…i had a really obnoxious, passive aggressive roommate in college that gave me so much crap about it….our dog sheds too, so we just sweet up the fur and hair balls often. it’s nice that it’s his fur too so i don’t take all the blame 😉

Ahhh! My hair is EVERYWHERE. Its all over the car, all over my bathroom, its somehow embedded into the memory foam topper on the bed (I cant even yank it out, it just snaps), its all over the floor of my closet where I get dressed, strands here and there throughout the house. It drives me NUTS. I just vaccuum… a lot. =(

@CanAmBride: Haha I’ll have to try that next time my SO complains! 🙂
