FH has seen me in all my dresses. I think its silly that people think their marriage wont last if he sees the dress before the wedding.

I showed him one photo of a dress that I really hated, but beyond that no. It doesn’t have anything to do with superstition for us, he just really wanted to wait to see it until the wedding!

Definately not. It doesn’t have anything to do with superstition with us either. We just want it to be a surprise.

I won’t be showing him pictures. I have zero superstition behind him not seeing the dress, I just want to build up the anticipation. I love surprising people!!

Even in high school I would not let my date (long-term boyfriend) see any of my dresses before that night. I would show his mom a picture so he could rent a matching suit ๐Ÿ˜€

Fiance went with me to try on dresses.  Now, the dress I’m ordering is a different one and she will probably NOT see me in that one, but when I went dress shopping to get general ideas of styles I liked she was there.  And so she knows how dresses very much like the one I’m ordering look on me.. but not exactly that dress.

Not superstitious here at all… she’s my best friend and it would kill me not to share this with her.  I would like the dress (me in it, I mean) to be a surprise though.

I haven’t but it’s because I want it to be a suprise, I don’t believe in that silly superstition.

Since we planned all of the wedding as a partnership & were working together to set a “tone” & “style”, I showed him everything.  (I do love surprises & love putting them together, tho’!)  I was “project manager” of attire, but he was a very vocal “VP”…in fact, he chose the dress.  Much of the rest of the wedding was a surprise, for our guests; both sets of parents included in surprised guests…at first they were mystified by the lack of details, but after the reveal, they were impressed with how much we kept secret.  Since I was keeping so much from my parents, & sometimes even my BMs, it was nice to share EVERY detail with my husband.

Do whatever “feels” right to you…that’s what’s important.

We went dress shopping together so he’s already seen it on me. I don’t believe in superstition, but I do want to surprise him a bit.  I think after alterations, my hair, makeup, veil, jewelry, its going to look entirely different anyways.

My Fiance REALLY wants my dress to be a surprise, we don’t believe in superstitions, and so I have not showed him pics for that reason!

Nope. He’ll like whatever I’m wearing, so he can wait. ๐Ÿ™‚

NO WAY! What if he liked the one I DIDN’T buy more than the one I did? Why even go there…

NO.

It also has nothing to do with superstition either, he just wants to be really surprised and excited when he sees it ๐Ÿ™‚

Fi did NOT want to know what dresses I was interested in.  He likes surprises.
