I don’t because I’m afraid of it falling off.

I don’t, but not because of the damage or anything – I take it off when I’m sleeping because my fingers swell slightly when I’m asleep and it gets very uncomfortable. Then I get up to have a shower and don’t put on my ring until I’m leaving the house.

I never take mine off, unless I’m lifting weights at the gym or handling raw meat or something.

My mom has slept in hers and worn it in the shower every day for 30 years and never had any problems. 😛

For what it’s worth, though, we both have solitaires. I imagine that halos and pave sets are probably a bit more fragile.

There was no option for what I’m about to say. I currently wear a placeholder and it’s gold-filled (not solid gold) so I don’t feel comfy showering in it. I never take off any of my other jewelry though. I’ll be glad when I get my real ring so it can be worry-free like the rest!

I don’t but I’m the worst because I don’t wear it around all the time Embarassed I just went three days without wearing it and my SO didn’t even say anything, so I guess no loss?

I don’t, the soap makes it all slippery, and if it fell down the drain I’d be so upset with myself!

No ma’am! It slips and slides and I don’t want it all scummy.

YUP… I am one who NEVER takes it off (well pretty much*)

And for the record, I an Encore Bride… was married the first time for over 20 Years, and I NEVER took those rings off… and they were perfectly fine.

    * Lol, when I first got this very sparkly E-Ring from Mr TTR (June 2012), I have to admit that I was way more nervous about it than my first Bridal Set… so I wasn’t wearing it around the clock.  BUT that phase only lasted a short while… until I got accustomed to this ring, and started to (a) feel more comfortable with it on, (b) came to realize just how durable it really is, and (c) as Mr TTR says “it is insured”

The ONLY time I do plan to take it off in the future, is if I am doing Home Renovations, Deep Cleaning, Scuba Diving (the ocean is a BIG place to lose one’s ring) or if we are travelling to a 3rd World / Unsafe Country (too glittery would attract too much attention).  After we are married, I have a plain W-Band, that can be worn 24-7×365 so my Ring Finger, will never truly be bare.

    Hope this helps,

PS… Recently took my ring in for its 6 Month Inspection & Cleaning… the Goldsmith said it was PERFECT.  He said it looked brand new, like I never wore it.  Then he chuckled and said, I must be a very “clean” person and wash my hands a lot, shower etc with it on.  I smiled and said, “YES… indeed I am / do”

I take them off if I am cleaning with harsh chemicals, participating in long distance running events that require the use of gels, or handling cookie dough/cooking mess. Otherwise I find that showering with my ring on actually makes it sparklier.

I do, because I’m afraid of it slipping right off into the drain, tangling up in my hair when I shampoo/condition, and getting film-y faster. I take mine off to sleep (no thread rubbing or face scratching) and just put it on after my shower in the AM.

I also stuck little command hooks on the inside of the kitchen cupboard door so that I can hang them up safe and tucked away while I cook or clean with chemicals. My ring is a family ring, though, so I am just one of those gals who is just extra-cautious with my ring.

I don’t shower with my ring on for 2 reasons.
    1.  I don’t want it falling off
    2.  I don’t want it to tangle in my hair
