Rarely… I only shower with it when I forget to take it off.

@yanamari:  haha probably, my FI is just worried about it… even though we have lifetime warranty and insurance.. but if it makes him happy then I sleep without it 🙂

Both of my parents have worn their ring for 31 years, they never take their rings off, and their rings are fine. They have 14k gold rings.

Um, it doesn’t hurt your ring in the long run.

What will hurt your ring is swimming/ chlorine!!!!

I do wear mine in the shower but then I take it off right after to apply moisturizer (because ew to get it on the ring) so lol … not very well thought-out I guess! I do like to look at my ring sparkle in the awesome bathroom lighting though!!

I tried leaving in my diamond earrings and ering on while I showered and for the most part, it was not a good idea. The residue from the soap and shampoo left them looking really cloudy quickly. After I started taking them off when I get home (so only wearing them when I’m out), they have stayed a lot cleaner looking between cleanings at the store.

I took it off to shower when it was looser, but now that I’ve gotten the band tightened, I keep it on. I’ll take it off if I’m doing something messy like kneading dough or making meatloaf or if I’m putting gloves on to wash dishes.

I take it off to shower and fix my hair (curly hair that requires alot of product), and put it back on when I’m done putting on makeup. It’s not that I think the water will hurt it, I just don’t see the point in getting conditioner and hair product all over it.

I have a plain band I wear whenever I take my other rings off, so like last night I took my rings off for bed, put the plain band on, slept in that, worked out in it this morning, showered in it, but then swapped it for my set when I got dressed. I’ll wear my wedding set the rest of the day until bed.

I voted sometimes.  I take mine off 99% of the time to shower or actually it is usuallyl off when I sleep b/c my fingers swell.  I only where it if I am somewhere I don’t feel safe leaving it, ie we went camping this summer and I wore it in the shower then for fear or losing it or having it stolen.

Nope. That is the only time I take mine off. It slips around a lot when my hands get wet so I don’t want to risk it. I do wear it when I sleep though.

No, because I usually shower right when I wake up and I do not sleep with my ring because my fingers swell at night.

I wear my ring all the time, including when I go running or take a shower 🙂

I only take it off when I am cooking things that involve my hands getting really messy, when I wear latex gloves (since it tears through them), or to clean it.
