I never take mine off unless I am showering or housecleaning. =)

I used to take mine off to sleep but it really hurt my knuckles to put it on in the morning when my fingers are slightly swelled. I used to take it off when I work out but that too hurt my knuckles. So I finally decided to keep it on all the time and it’s been great! I am totally used to it. I always put on rubber gloves when I clean so that’s fine too. Also, my setting has the center stone lower into the setting so it doesn’t stick out. That helps!

Yes I sleep with it on, but usually I turn it around so the stone is in my palm to help protect it. I only take mine off when cleaning or doing yard work… I don’t like not having it on. Especially because I’m a worry wart, and if for some reason there was an emergency (fire/flood) at night and we had to leave the house I wouldn’t want to lose it :-/

Mine is a bezel set halo (no prongs sticking out), and I do sleep with it on. I don’t shower or clean the house with it on, though. Or wash my hands. If we are out at a resturant, I put it in my pocket for the few minutes I am washing my hands.

I leave it on except when I clean it. I has not prongs. It’s a bezel heart so it doesn’t get caught on anything and the stone is pretty secure in there.

I am slightly more comfortable sleeping without it.  At home, I take it off just before bed and put it on a ring holder on my nightstand.  But if I’m traveling, I’ll sleep with it on because I feel it’s safest on my finger.

FWIW, my jeweler told me it is fine to sleep in my platinum ring.  I think gold settings may be different because the metal prongs can be worn down.

I tend to take my jewelry off when I sleep but never ever do I take of my ering the fiancé gets upset besides we have a lifetime warranty so if it scratches or prongs get loose I can take it in, but if I loose it I’m screwed

I always sleep with my ring on and only take it off for bathing, cleaning and any down n’ dirty projects. But I hate to take it off! I look down at my sad, bare little finger and it makes me feel weird. Lol

@Pokemon:  +1.  I have heard that it is OK to do almost everything else with your ring on except sleep in it.  And DH calls my rings “the flesh killers,” lol!

I usually take mine off when I arrive home and put on a plain sterling silver band that’s plated in rhodium.  However sometimes, like last night I’m just too tired to go through my whole routine.  So I turn my ring around so that the halo and diamonds are in the inside of my palm.  I usually sleep with my hand curled around the comforter or sheet so I feel tht it protects.

However 95% of the time I remove it before sleeping.

I take my diamond rings off as soon as I get home, including my engagement ring.  When I’m not wearing those, I’m wearing a plain gold band, which I do sleep in.

I smack DH in the face enough by accident when I’m asleep.  He doesn’t need the added risk of the prongs of my e-ring cutting him.
