From the moment we got engaged, I have never taken it off! 13 months and counting.

The only time I take my ring off is when I go to the gym because I don’t want it to get scratched while lifting weights.  Even then, I hate to remove it because I’m such a forgetful person.

Last week I took my ring off for a couple of seconds to put lotion on and I forgot to wear my ring the whole entire week!  I would only remember once I got to work and then tell myself to remind myself when I got home but once I got home, I’d forget all over again.  It’s just too risky.  I lose things all the time and I would be so sad if I ever lost my engagement ring.

I have lifetime warranty on my ring so I’m not too worried about it getting banged up. I mean, I still wouldn’t like for it to happen but it does make me feel better knowing I’ll be taken care of.  I’ve already had an incident where one of my sapphires fell out at work when I banged my hand against a shelf.  I took it in right away and they took care of it for me.  I’ve been more careful since then.

I didn’t read any previous posts…but it is absolutely terrible for your skin to sleep with any kind of of jewelry on. Please don’t do it! I could devote an entire post to the reasons NOT to wear a ring to bed, or in the shower, or to do dishes, or when you are putting on lotion.

get a few spare ring boxes…keep one by your bed, one in the kitchen, one in your handbag…where ever you are likely to take your ring off. Actually as soon as I walk in the door of my house I take my rings off and put them in their box that lives in a specific place. At this point it’s as routine as brushing my teeth. That way I don’t have to worry about remembering to put it away everytime I need to take it off.

It’s also better for the ring too, as you will not have to have it cleaned nearly as often as you would if you were constantly wearing it in the shower/dishwater/gym etc. I see so many women with beautiful rings that are FILTHY, and I want to say to them…you aren’t respecting that beautiful rock honey, get that thing cleaned!

I never sleep with jewellery on so it’s no different with my e-ring. I take it off the minute I get home and put it in its original box. i can’t imagine cooking, sleeping or showering with it. I keep it in pristine condition!

I actually only wear my rings when I get out of the house. I never work out with my rings on, nor do I clean/ cook/ do laundry/ shower etc with rings on. I take them off the minute I get home. That being said, they are in their box at night.

My fingers swell overnight and I hate waking up with railroad tracks around my finger, so I always take it off.

I always sleep with my rings and necklace on, but put earrings and a bracelet watch on every morning. I also shower and all that good stuff too.

I do take it off if I am doing anything that will get my hands really messy though.
