When I’m taking a shower, when I’m doing dishes, when I’m sleeping, when I’m handling raw meat, when I’m washing my hands, when I’m fussing with dirt, when I’m cleaning with chemicals, when I put on lotion…

Yeah, I take it off a lot. But I’m okay with it because it hasn’t gotten gross, the plating hasn’t come off, and I haven’t had to worry about hurting/bending the gold or anything. 🙂

I do wear my wedding band to sleep, though. But not the e-ring. The setting is too tall and its a marquise cut so I’m pretty sure I’d rip the sheets. Or DH’s face.

@Kazza:  I take it off only when working with somethig like raw meat, and when I am putting lotion on!

I never take either of my rings off! They are plenty durable and I never cook (bread dough etc) so there’s no reason to take them off!

I only ever take it off if I’m doing something really dirty, or where gunk could get in the filigree.

I usually take mine off to put lotion on, messing with uncooked chicken, doing greasy dishes, or using harsh chemicals. Other then that my little beauty stays on my finger.

@Kazza:  I never take mine off unless I am cooking/baking something that requires me to get my hands dirty. I love my ring too much and it feels very weird if it is off.

I never take mine off! My rings are very secure on my finger and the setting is pretty sturdy. It has broken twice in 3 years…one stone fell out and the entire center halo platform came right off (!!) but it has a lifetime warranty and the repairs are free. Love wearing it all the time!!

I just gone mine yesterday, but I was also wondering the same thing, and have heard conflicting advice, so I took mine off last night, placed it in the box it came in, and put it in my dresser–HOWEVER, I found myself waking up several times during the night just to check to see if it was still there.

So tonight, I will be wearing it to sleep and hopefully get a little more rest. Hopefully once the newness of it wears off whichever decision I make will feel more natural and less stressful.

I only take mine off to clean or cook. Or anything where it could get messy or broken. But I always wear it in the shower and to bed.

I never take mine off. i don’t want to risk losing them! Any dirt just gets cleaned off in the shower. I didn’t want rings so delicate that I couldn’t wear them – they’re meant to be worn!

@Kazza:  I only take mine off when I’m putting moisturiser on my hands/body or if I’m working with any kind of dough!

So far I’ve gone white water rafting, marinaded countless steaks, painted our house, dug a hole in the backyard, gone to the gym etc with it on and no worries 🙂

It’s one of the reasons I wanted a small ring in the first place – so I could keep it on (almost) all the time without worrying about it catching on anything or breaking or the stone falling out or me losing it if I’ve taken it off or having it look out of place when I’m in my house clothes (which is pretty much all the time!)

With my original ERing, I never took it off. I showered with it on, slept with it on … pretty much did everything with it on except for something like putting on moisturizer — mainly because I didn’t want lotion to gunk up the stones or setting.

With my new Ering / upgrade, I take it off for showering and sleeping. The stones on the side and band are invisibly set, and I am just not confident it can stand up to getting tangled in sheets while sleeping. Also, it has a higher profile than my original ring, so there’s much more chance of it getting caught on things.

@Kazza:  I always take my e-ring off when I am taking a shower. It’s a little bit so I worry it would fall off and go down the drain. I also take it off sometimes if I’m lifting weights are doing some hardcore stuff in the kitchen (like kneading dough!)

I don’t sleep or shower with it. I just don’t find it comfortable and am worried about ruining my ring since it’s pavé and pretty high maintenance already 😉
