bridetobe2018 :  I take it off for showers, sleep, dishes, the gym, the beach, house chores, etc. I have an amethyst so it’s extra delicate. I baby my ring.

I take mine off to shower but that’s about it. I leave mine on to sleep. I’ve seen people saying that’s bad, but come on, our parents and grandparents wore theirs constantly (at least mine did.) Idk. I try to be careful with my rings but also, I made a conscious choice towards diamonds over a couple other stones I originally wanted BECAUSE OF durability. So for me to treat them like they are made of delicate glass would make my choice totally pointless.

Meaning, if I need to baby my rings, i may as well have gotten that antique gold and turquoise instead of a new, very durable 14k gold and diamond ring.

I shower at night, so I put it in its box before the shower, then sleep, then pop it on first thing in the morning. I usually leave it on for cooking, dishes etc unless I’m making something messy like meatballs.

I baby mine even though it probably doesn’t need to be babied because it’s platinum. I don’t wear it to the gym because I lift weights and don’t want it to get scratched. I also take it off before bed and don’t put it back on until after I get ready in the morning. My fingers tend to swell overnight so wearing a ring feels uncomfortable and I don’t want my ring to get grimy from my make-up.

I don’t usually wear my jewelry at home.

The only time I take my rings off is if I’m doing something that will get my hands really messy while cooking/baking – like kneading dough. Otherwise I don’t take my rings off. I shower, sleep, workout, go hiking, do pretty much everything with my rings on.

I used to sleep with my rings on. Only recently started taking them off and leaving them on a holder on the dressing table. No real reason. Think it might have been because I’ve been wearing my charm bracelet on my left wrist lately and that’s too heavy to sleep with.

Idk why but during the night my fingers get swollen, so I take both rings off to avoid the muffin top effect (and my finger size is 2.5 only!)

I used to work in a jewelry store as a jeweler’s assistant. I pretty much take my ring off for everything non-essential to wearing it (showers/cooking/cleaning/working out/etc.). My ring is 14kt gold, but that doesn’t stop me. I’ve seen some nasty lotion/conditioner build up in rings, food particles left in rings, and brides coming in heart broken over missing pave/setting stones or prong issues because their rings got caught sheets or something. I just baby my ring more because of my past experience (or else I wouldn’t be *as* cautious with it)

I take it off to sleep because it’s uncomfortable to me. I used to wear it and I’d scratch myself and it gets tight when my fingers would swell at night. It’s so strange.

I only take mine off for showering, cleaning and cooking ( but only if it’s something messy ) and using hand lotion. I’m lucky though that the jeweller that made my ring is a friend. I’ll stop in for an espresso every few days and he’ll steam it for me. Not because it’s super dirty I just love how much it sparkles when it’s super clean lol.

bridetobe2018 :  shower, gym, some cooking – anything where they might get lost down a drain or caked in goo I take them off – the gym is more comfort than anything – weights with rings just isn’t comfortable. Sometimes I take them off to sleep, depends – usually if I don’t wear them tinned it’s because I took them off earlier in the day for something and forgot to put them back on. It’s rare I’d take them off just to go to bed
