Aw, how cute! My pups get love, attention and cuddles all the time. They don’t get extra food or toys though. No puppy birthday parties here!

Fiance spoils the crap out of our dog! Every time I come over there’s something new for him to eat or play with. I also get Instructed on which treats he likes and when he likes them…and I MUST rub his hind legs when we get up in the morning. LOL sorta cute how Fiance obsesses over our pooch.

    @Bebealways: awww what a cutie!

@Birdi:  Ours loves his hind legs and bum rubbed too.  I usually say “itchy scritchy scratchy your bumbum” and he comes running!

We spoil our dog, but train him constantly as well. He gets attention/treats any time he’s doing something we want him to do, ie sitting nicely and not jumping, walking at heel, licking instead of mouthing (bird dog) etc.

I read a book by an animal behaviourist who said that the nilif concept is great, but that sometimes it’s good to give animals a free bonus.  It boosts morale, the same way it would if you were at work and your boss randomly said “we’re ordering pizza for lunch for everyone”!

I totally spoil our cats!  Mostly with toys and cat furniture, not so much with treats though ๐Ÿ™‚  The scary thing is that Vader knows what it means when I spell treat.  As in I mentioned to my fiance that they were very well behaved with visitors that day, and they deserve a t-r-e-a-t, and as soon as I got to the E, Vader’s ears perked up and he ran for the treat cabinet.

We have three dogs and they get whatever they want, they are too cute. They sleep in bed with us and have more room than my Darling Husband and I do.

My dog is horribly spolied lol.

He has a huge, comfy basket, but also has half of one sofa ‘reserved’ for him; I’ve actually sat on the floor before because there was no space lol.

If OH isn’t staying over, he sleeps on my bed.

He gets fuss and attention all the time.

He has a MASSIVE toy collection, and we usually buy a new toy for him pretty much every week; e don’t buy cheap ones either.

So, yep, spoilt! But he’s SO lovely ๐Ÿ˜€

I spoil my kitties with pets… they love to be scratched, pet and paid attention to. I don’t really buy them extra stuff or anything like that though.

Here they are: Dahlia on the left and HannahBelle Lector on the right.

Our dog is spoiled rotten.  In any room of my house, there are at least 4 toys sitting on the floor.  She also has her own spot on the couch, but recently she’s been insisting on climbing into my FI’s lap on the couch.  She’s a good dog, though, so I can’t be mad ๐Ÿ™‚

I spoil them both pretty bad. I just feel like my purpose in life is to love on them as much as I can when I’m home and available to them. The cat isn’t so interested in food or toys so “spoiling” her just means letting her be and jump around on whatever she fancies and for the dog . . . well, he gets lots of high-reward (but health) treats just for being himself. LOL.

My cats rule the house. FI has had to adjust to living with not only me, but my 4 cats too. He’s doing a good job!

I do spoil both of our dogs, but it is nothing compared to how my mother spoils her two. Her and my stepdad recently rescued both of them and they are constantly spoiling the crap out of them, I guess to make up for the hard times of their lives. One of the dogs had been left in someone’s basement all day, everyday and he ended up developing horrible cataracts from being in the dark so he’s basically blind now. Needless to say, he gets whatever he wants as long as its healthy lol.

They only get fed Blue Buffalo dog food (which is freakin’ expensive), they buy them sweet potatoes, fresh chicken breasts, blueberries, strawberries, and all other sorts of fresh (dog healthy) foods. They eat better than I do sometimes! They get rubs and cuddles all day long and constantly go to the dog park. My mom takes them almost everywhere except for work – to all the stores she goes to, friends houses, etc. They have a TON of toys, both sleep in the bed with my parents, and they also EACH have their own down comforter to sleep with on the couch!!!

Here are my parents’ spoiled pups. Lucy…

    getting cuddles…

And Gary… He found his way up onto the table and got himself stuck up there

@Birdi:  That’s awesome!  The hind legs!  Oh hilarious!

I buy our dog LOTS of toys, treats, leads, etc but I always make her sit before she gets anything.  Except hugs….she gets those for free like all the time..cause she’s adorable.

Seriously though…I don’t know about others, but our dog is part Cattle Dog, German Shepherd, and Fox Terrier, so she can get REALLY dominant/demanding if we don’t keep her well-trained.  I can always tell when we’ve been slipping up with her because she’ll jump on the couch, chase the cats, etc, basically start doing the things that we’ve mostly trained out of her.  When that happens…no toys till she does her “sit” or “come” properly.  ๐Ÿ™‚
