I do, but only because I use the same stylist I have had for the past 5 years, and she is about my ago, so we have a lot in common.

Not really. I suck at small talk anyway. Usually the conversation starts of strong…. but then tapers off. I’m hoping the stylist appreciates the chance to work without interruption.

I don’t have a regular stylist and I am awkward at small talk. Also outrageously shy!

I usually don’t like to talk, I will if she talks to me though. I understand they probably get bored and want to chat, but I’m mostly just there for a haircut

I do if they initiate. I’m a private person, so that eliminates most of the stuff they want to talk about. I feel rude and uncomfortable during hair appointments…that’s probably why I haven’t gotten my hair cut in almost 6 months. I feel icky now:(

I’ve been using the same stylist for a loooong time. Probably 10 years! (And I’m only 23).

We talk about everything. But my mom and I almost always go together so the three of us just jabber on all afternoon, usually.

    I do!

I have had the same stylist for years and she is my facebook friend. We know a lot about each other due to the conversations we’ve had over the years so there is plenty to talk about!

I have a regular stylist and we chit chat but most of the time I’d rather just sit back and relax.  It’s hard cause I still like to hear the updates.

@brenna1035: Oh, I am sooo like you, and I DO have a regular stylist, who’s a friend of the family. It makes things very awkward….

She’s a very powerful/successful woman, and I actually find her intimidating. In the best way possible? It just makes me even more shy because I think she’s so cool and I don’t want to “suck up” to her… LOL

My stylist is a middle-aged man who tells me the same stories every time I go in.  Fine by me!  I’d much rather pretend to listen than try to carry a conversation.

Sometimes, I’ve had the same stylist and lately because of the wedding I’ve had a lot to talk about (she’s recently married as well) otherwise its off and on conversation. Not awkward though. I’m actually getting my hair done tonight! lol.

I do not have a regular stylist but I’m strange and can small talk to most anyone given the chance. Unless you want your ear talked off it’s probably better not to talk to me lol
