I travel with mine internationally and domestically. I also take it to the beach and wear it in the water, mountain biking, paddleboarding, horseback riding, etc… The more often I take it off the higher the liklihood of losing it!

It depends on where you go. You never wear your ring to the beach anyway.. NEVER. Is the location safe? does the hotel room have a safe? if not, leave it at home and go without. Don’t risk it. Or get a cheap berricle stand in and have fun.

I’m still waiting for my e-ring to be made (custom can take a long time!), but I do love jewelry and I travel a lot.
Generally, it dpeends on my destination and what I’ll be doing. Will there be opportunity to dress up, or will I be spending most of my time in a swimsuit? Is the risk of being robbed/mugged higher than in my normal life? How about the climate, am I going somewhere hot and humid where my fingers will swell enough that I’ll be tempted to keep taking my ring off?

I’ve gone on a few vacations with my e-ring. I wore it unless I was in the ocean, in which case I would leave it in the safe. Otherwise I wore as usual.

I always wear my e-ring unless I’m doing something really dirty (like cleaning the grill or gardening). If you’re not comfortable wearing your ring in the ocean, either leave it at home or lock it in your hotel safe.

My vacations are usually really active (camping, hiking, paddling) so I will leave it at home because it’s not practical to wear a ring for those activities.
For a beach vacation at a nice hotel, I’d bring it with me and leave it in the safe during the day.
But my ring is moissy and part of my decision to go that route was that I didn’t want to constantly stress about it being stolen.

I always wear it and don’t take it off ever unless we’re doing something very active using my hands, like volleyball or rock climbing, or while in the water. I don’t understand the fear really. They’re just as likely to get lost/stolen at home!

I leave it at home and take my silicone Enso ring on vacation.

Just to remind those who have home safes, there has been a series of break-ins around where I live. They came when the houses were empty and they simply stole the entire safe. Any safe located in a bedroom or a closet is most at risk, and any safe that isn’t either too large/heavy and/or bolted to the floor is at risk of being taken. One of my coworkers lost both her safes, despite them “only” containing social security cards and passports for her kids and other information, not valuables. If someone is going to leave valuables at home, I always suggest using a bank safety deposit box. They cost next to nothing and are far more secure than any home safe.
As for my rings, I wear them. We’ve cruised and travelled around the US, Mexico and Europe and I have never felt unsafe with my rings. If we were to travel to places known for poverty, I would leave my rings in the safety deposit box simply as a matter of taste and not wanting to flaunt comparative wealth.

depends where i am going and what i am doing.
these days, i just wear my wedding band anyway, so probably wouldn’t wear it just for vacation.

It’s insured. I wear mine everywhere.

mariana1114 : Is it insured? the insurance does not cover the hotel safe. Dont do it. I am having a Destination Wedding wedding and I will not even be wearing my diamond on my wedding day bc I will not bring it with me bc it wont be insured in the hotel safe and I am not wearing it in the water. I am leaving it in the safe deposit box at the bank by my house.
That is assuming you have a strong attachment to it and it would be the end of the world if you lost it. Some people dont care that much. I really care and wont risk it. Go buy a travel ring. I have a CZ that I wear when I travel.

I always wear mine. I average 30 to 60 nights in hotels and another 20 to 30 nights camping a year. The safest place for my ring is on my finger. That’s why it’s insured.

I’m on holiday at the mo and both rings are with me as they never come off. They’re just as safe/unsafe at home as in any other location…?

mariana1114 : When traveling outside of the country (usually once per year),I send my ring to Tacori in order to have it cleaned/inspected/serviced. Within the country, I take it with me, but rarely take it off (though going in the ocean may be different). Either way, it sounds like you’ll leave it somewhere when you aren’t wearing it, so you’ll have to decide if you feel safer with it not being on you at home or wherever you’re staying (If you’re staying in a hotel, I’d bring it with and leave it in the in room safe).
