We just honeymooned in Cabo and I wore my set pretty much the whole time. Only time I left in the hotel safe was when we went to the beach but even then I made sure they had already cleaned our room/stocked the bar so no reason for the staff to come in again.

Ocean=/=ring. I live by the beach and no jelwely goes with me to it. May try a silicone band but honestly it’s probably not even worth it. I cringe so hard at my past self wearing any kind of meaningful jewlery in the water. This coming from someone who was just at the beach today and with 4 foot+ swells and rip current risk, I was miffed I lost my scrunchie lol

We wear ours on vacations, but put them in the safe for beach/ocean activities.

Our rings are insured, but we just leave them home and wear plain bands on major trips. We just prefer not to stress about loosing our rings. Of course, someone could break into our house, but we have a cop two doors down and my parents come by and check on our house while we’re gone so we don’t worry as much. It really depends on you though.

depends on where we are going on vacation normally I wear it everywhere it’s insured so I wear the dang thing all the time that being said we are going to Mexico soon and will be going through tj and Juarez not such great places right now so I’m leaving my set at home and I have bought like 6 or 7 ebay moissy’s for a stand in .
they will be smaller in size than my real one too no need to draw unneeded attention 😉 and the only reason I am doing this is because a close family friend actually has been robbed in tj and they tried to cut off his finger he ended up loosing his finger completely because the doctors couldn’t undo all the damage so this is why I would not wear my real rings!

I think it’s more the hassle/pain of trying to get a ring replaced out of the country, and that US insurance companies can be a bit more skeptical of a claim made outside the US. I know plenty of Americans that won’t wear their rings to Canada, one of the safest countries on the planet, for that reason.

I second this advice! My parents are from Jamaica. I would never recommend bringing valuables/wearing e rings to Jamaica!! It isn’t the safest country, even for locals.
To respond to the OP:
I have worn my set to Mexico while at a resort. I did not wear my e ring to Italy recently but probably could have worn my rings there with no problems. I think it really depends on the country you are traveling to and what your itinerary is.

I just got back from a vacation in TX. I wore my moissanite / white gold ring stand-in that looks almost identical to my actual e-ring diamond / platinum solitaire. The reason I wore the stand-in is because I knew we would be swimming and going to the amusement park and the risk of bashing it or it slipping off was greater.
If I went to a high risk country, I would not wear any expensive looking ring and would opt for a plain band for safety.
