Always. And I always ask my guests to do the same, unless we’re having a larger party. There’s a lot of gross stuff on the streets of NYC!

I usually take them off within 15 min of coming in the door. I don’t like shoes, so unless my feet are cold, they come off inside.

Always, unless we’re popping in for a minute before leaving again. No particular reason, except that if given the choice, I prefer to be barefoot, especially in my own house.

To me taking off my shoes = unwinding and relaxing from work, so yep, they are pretty much always off.

I take my shoes off as soon as I get home. (In the summer I walk around barefoot in my yard/deck too.)

either way, my shoes/heels come off asap and are often replaced by houseshoes.

Yep – usually they’re heels so I want to get out of them ASAP!

Am I the only person who can’t stand being barefoot? I wear slippers pretty much all the time in the winter or flip flops even in the house in the summer. I do wear my regular shoes in the house, too, because it just doesn’t bother me.

@elliestan: Whtat is with these said house shoes?! DH’s grandmother has bought me three pairs of house shoes but I prefer to walk around with naked feet. It’s like she’s repulsed with feet coming in contact with the floor! Darling Husband has house shoes as well. Weirdos :p

bwahahahaha, ALWAYS!  I also do it at his parents and sometimes at my parents.  And anywhere else I can, including work. 😛

I LOATHE shoes (despite having a good collection of heels and loving heels).  I’ll even walk around outside in the dead of winter with snow/ice on the ground.

Of course, I also change into pj’s during game nights because a) it’s more comfy to me, and b) it’s my house, damn it.  If I wanna have a pajama party, I will! (even if i’m the only one in pj’s! LOL!)

besides, everyone around me knows I hate shoes and I’m always teased because I shrink whenever I take my shoes off (that’s what I get for wearing 1″ or higher heels around tall guys, lol).

@Amaryllis: I’m the opposite. I don’t like having things on my feet. I love summer–no socks!
