I will tell anyone who asks my wedding colors.

I do tell people if they ask. I figure most people won’t even remember, and my closest friends like to hear the significance behind our colors, which we chose for aesthetic and sentimental reasons.

@bells: I told people because 1. they wouldn’t have stopped asking and 2. no one could steal my colors because I am the only one engaged right now (everyone else was a few months away from their wedding when I got engaged so their colors were picked).

It sucks someone “color jacked” you. I don’t understand how someone could copy you because I would think that most brides would try to be original. Did/is she get married before you?

I told people once it was definite but I don’t know why people ask. I love seeing everything at weddings without knowing what to expect.

I don’t have a problem telling anyone about the wedding details…especially not the colors. If they want to know then I love to gush lol. We have three couples as close friends who are also getting married within the next year or two and I’m not worried about any of those girls stealing my ideas either. (I think my reputation preceeds itself in that it would not be a wise choice to mess with my wedding! haha).

@bells: People do weird things when it comes to weddings.

As a guest, I’ve asked what the colors are so that I DON’T wear the same color as the bridesmaids! As a bride, I told anyone who asked.

I tell people, even if someone borrowed my wedding colors it wouldn’t be a big deal. I mean how original can you really be? If her wedding is after yours I wouldn’t give it a second thought.

I never minded telling people. Except for the fact that I didn’t really have “colors,” I had one main color and then spring colors in general. That was always hard to explain.
