Definitely not too small! Mine is a 1.04ct on a size 4 finger. I love my ring and I think it’s the perfect size!

Definitely not too small for me either ๐Ÿ™‚ Mine is 1.01 carat. It’s set up really high so it looks bigger than it is if you look at it from the side, but honestly, I love it! Definitely wouldn’t ask for bigger. I’m a size 4.5!

A good thing to think about too is going too big will make the ring slip and slide everywhere and become really annoying, especially if it’s set up high. My fingers are really bony and I think that if I went any bigger, it would get to the point of being downright annoying. So no, I think on your small hands, 1 carat won’t only be plent big, but it will also be just enough so it’s not going to slide everywhere all the time – especially if you plan to wear the ring all the time.

I think that 1 carat on a 4.5 finger would look like a pretty good size. I wear a size 4 (can also be a 3.75) and my diamond is 0.9 carats. I think it also depends on the cut of the diamond. For example, diamonds with a higher “cut” will face up larger compared to a lower cut of the same carat weight.

Here’s mine! Don’t know why it keeps on being sideways lol

also wanted to add that mine is a 1.8mm band (although i think it tapers towards the centre so it looks even thinner from the top.

Okay, so I literally just joined WeddingBee so I could reply to this thread. ๐Ÿ˜› I also wear a 4.5 and girl, you will be totally fine even if you had less than one carat! I used to work in jewelry…. let me tell you, it’s completely arbitrary. If you’re going for more surface coverage, you’ll get the most from an emerald cut. You can also get a lot of coverage with cluster or pave designs…… and if you want something REALLY eye-catching….. go for a quality stone that never stops sparkling, as opposed to just surface value.

For the record, I wear a large third, and it’s perfect…. he selected a Leo Artisan and I couldn’t be happier. ๐Ÿ™‚ 28059334_972458873156_556093850292637017_n

I have a one carat princess cut and I have upgraded it to a double halo. Even before that, it looked really big on my finger. I am a size 4.

No. 1ct is actually pretty large. It’s only recently that people have been getting these big rocks. Most jewelry stores don’t even regularly stock 1ct. If you like it and can afford it get what you want but nothing is too small.

I don’t think 1 carat is too small at all.  If anything, it’s a classic size.  It looks good on everyone, but it will look even larger on you since your finger is smaller.  I’m a 3.5 finger and went with a .92 carat.

‘small’ is relative. However, most people I know do not think 1 carat is even close to being too small. To be honest, anything a carat and up, and they all start to look kinda the same (until you start getting well over 2 carats and up). I have a 1.9 center stone and honestly, I don’t think it looks noticeably bigger than a carat (unless I am directly comparing side by side and focusing intently on size).

Well… on my fingers yes. I have thick fingers (8.5) yet my mom is same size as me as a person and boney fingers(~4). 1 Carat looks like a beast on her… but minuscule on me.

But at the end of the day I will probably get a carat and really not care. Ready to marry my man.

Right now I have something that I assume is under a quarter and it looks ok on me.

natashagill :  mine is only slightly bigger than 1ct at 1.2, on a size 6 finger and I’m absolutely in love with the ring and this size of it ๐Ÿ˜ I am such a fan of emerald cut and a halo as well.
