SO and I went ring shopping today at a couple stores and I found a setting I’m in love with, however, it was out of our budget. We looked online for something similar and I think we’ve all but decided on this ring from Shane Co. The only thing is that SO is worried that the “bumpy” parts on the inside of the band will be uncomfortable for me (none of the rings I tried on today had that so I can’t attest to it). I don’t think I’ll notice it though.
We don’t have a Shane Co anywhere even remotely near us, so I can’t go in to try this one on.
Do any of you guys have rings like this that are not perfectly smooth/round on the inside? Do you notice it/is it uncomfortable? Weigh in!

I wish I could help answer, but…that setting IS gorgeous!

As long as it is the right size, it shouldn’t matter because your finger will not be inside the grooves.

I used to work at Shane Co and never had anyone who bought one of those rings (or similar styles) complain that they hurt. For what that’s worth… Oh, and I love that setting!

@MsPanda: Oops I guess I forgot to add…the closest Shane Co to me is about an 8 hr drive haha. So no way to try it on unfortunately. I’ll have to go back and edit the original post if I can…

That setting is AMAZING!! One of my best friend has a “Crown” style ring, simliar to that. She loooooves it, she dosn’t notice the groving in it ever, and the compliments come in none stop!

No, I don’t think it would be uncomfortable. I do, however think it would be gorgeous.

I wouldnt think that it would be uncomfortable, but you honestly wont know for sure till you try it

I don’t think it would be uncomfortable. in fact, the texture might help keep the ring from spinning!

I had a right hand ring similar to the curves in this one and it was not uncomfortable at all. I think any ring can be uncomfortable if you dont have it sized correctly.

That ring is so pretty. I have to hope they test it out to make sure it’s comfortable before they offer it for sale!

actually when we were shopping for wedding rings I remember seeing some comfort fit men’s bands that were wavy on the inside. It was supposed to make them more comfortable because it allow the release of pressure from the fingers… or something like that 🙂
Anyways, if you like it go for it! I would double check the return policy first!

Verragio makes some rings that have a scrolling design like that, and according to them it makes it more comfortable and less likely to spin.
